Complete bait and switch scam artisit. I spent hours on the phone with this company to go over everything we were moving. I was giving an original quote around $3600. The next phone call I received, they tried to increase the price to $4700, then the day the movers came they increased it to over $7000. I called and asked for supervisors to explain how there could be this large of a discrepancy. The supervisor was very rude, and so was the 3rd party moving company. Basically it doesn't matter how much time you spend on the phone going over the itmes in your home, it essentially doesn't matter. The driver will show up and say, we don't go on the items list, its the space in the truck. I tried to cancel the move, and they refused to refund my $1500 depoist. No one tried to help figure out how or why the orinal numbers were so inaccurate. No one accepted responsibility. The movers didn't even take 1/3 of what was on the original list and still wants to charge me over $4500. This was the worst experience I've had with any company in my 41 years on this earth.

We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. After reviewing your file and the signed estimate, we’d like to clarify a few important points. Your original Binding-Not-to-Exceed estimate of approximately $3,600 was based on the detailed inventory you provided during the sales call. As stated in Section 9 of your contract and in accordance with 49 CFR 371.113(c)(1), this estimate is valid only when the inventory provided is accurate. It also explains that if additional items, packing, weight, or labor are required at pickup or destination, the cost will adjust according to the governing tariff rates. At the time of pickup, the carrier documented that there were a significant number of additional items not included in the original list. This increased both the cubic footage and labor requirements, resulting in an updated estimate from the carrier before loading began. The pricing you were given on pickup day reflected the actual space required on the truck, which is standard practice in the moving industry when there is a difference between the contracted inventory and the items presented for transport. Regarding your deposit, per the terms in your signed agreement, deposits are applied toward securing the moving date and are non-refundable once services are reserved, unless cancellation is made within the stated cancellation window. Because the cancellation occurred at pickup, outside the allowable time frame, the deposit remained non-refundable. We understand that moving can be stressful and unexpected costs can be frustrating. Our goal is always to provide accurate estimates based on the information provided to us, and we encourage all customers to carefully review and update their inventory list prior to pickup to help avoid such changes.
