Don't use this company! NO!!!. First of all they are not a moving company. They are nothing but a broker. They give the impression they are movers. The con game goes like this :"the setup"... They have you tell them approximately what you plan to ship, then provided a very low estimate which they ask for deposit based on "square footage". The ongoing illusion before "they" come out is a phone call a few days before you move...so " they can finalize" or allow for update to items being move. This is when you find out they are not a moving company. In the fine print. they tell you another moving company will be doing the work and they will also review items while on site and adjust pricing IF needed. But assure you they very good at estimating. The only thing they are good at is efing lying. Here's " The sting": The first thing I hear when the real moving company arrives is the itemized list is way off on what has been charged. And tell me I need to come up with another thousand. At this point you are fkd because you are locked in for the other half of cost. Bend over!!! Or Run from this company. Use an actual moving company you will save a lot of money. I'm not sure if both companies are in on the con but you're better off going directly with a moving company which I Thought was doing. Shame on me for not doing some digging first. An shame on them for using the 'American' name in their so called company. Best I can do is warn others. Good luck.

Do not use American Dream
American dream relocation was a terrible experience. I suggest you do not use their services because they do nothing. I spoke with Evan, who assured me he would be available to me for the entirety of my move. Very charming until my deposit was paid, after which he never answered his phone despite the many calls I made. He vanished. They emailed me to use a moving company, Cosmos moving, which upon review had horrible almost zero star ratings on google. The contract required them to perform a call to solidify final inventory prior to the move to ensure capacity - no one ever called or performed it. I had to book a pickup date with the mover despite having already done so with Evan and assuming Evan had booked me as discussed and contracted. American Dream as a broker collects ⅓ fee, jobs you out to a terrible local mover and disappears. Upon arrival, the mover immediately said I needed to pay an additional $ 500 over contract. I said the items were exactly as I had gone over with Evan and bought space for accordingly, but they back you into a corner. I called American Dream and spoke to a customer service person who tried to assist but said I could not send the bad movers away and that my only choice was to lose my ⅓ deposit already paid to them or pay more as demanded. The Ryder truck was messy, the blankets provided were filthy and full of holes. The back office guy from Cosmos who calls the shots on money demands is rude, nasty, abrasive and crass. In order to lessen the $500 demanded, I had to leave items behind. I had the same experience on the delivery side. My family helpers came and went because the truck never came. I had given my preferred delivery date at pickup and it was ignored until I called every day for a week to get them to deliver 5 days later than requested. They were lost and had been given the wrong address so I stood out on the road to guide them in. Upon arrival I was immediately hit up for more money for things that were already provided for in the contract. The guys doing the move are fine and try hard to please. It’s not their fault.
I spoke to American Dream several times throughout this journey and got nowhere. They said they would perform an investigation into all items listed above. They did not. They put the workload on you to attempt any recovery or have your case heard. They exhaust you so you go away. Overall they are not a company to be relied on for customer service or performance. They are a middleman and you start all over with the mover when they choose your mover, who you are stuck with. They gave no care or expertise selecting the almost zero star mover. They leave you high and dry.
In the future I will hire help directly or do it myself. The price gouging, wasted time, frustration and complete lack of follow through from American Dream resulted in a bad experience.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
To clarify, American Dream Relocation is a licensed moving broker, not a carrier. This is clearly stated in all of our estimates, contracts, and disclosures, which explain that we work with multiple A-rated, fully licensed carriers to coordinate moves for our customers. Our role is to arrange transportation with reputable carriers while ensuring customers receive competitive pricing and professional service.
Our records show that we spoke with you on the day of your move and did everything in our power to assist. Although the carrier advised there were additional items not originally listed on your estimate which, per the contract, would typically result in additional fees our team waived those fees as a courtesy to help make the process smoother for you.
We regret to hear there were still challenges during your move and delays in communication with the carrier. Please know that we take all feedback seriously and have forwarded your comments to our Quality Assurance department for further review.
If you would like us to revisit your case in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected]
with your job reference number so we can assist you personally.

DON’T USE! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, INSURANCE AND SCHEDULING
These people are a total scam and are just waiting for you to sign all the legal paperwork to lock you in so once the slightest thing goes wrong you have no recourse. The customer rep I discussed and scheduled my move with was Fred Valitti. Fred and I thoroughly read and reviewed the contracts together. When we came to the part about insurance and protection amount of liability, I very clearly told Fred that this was not enough and I needed more coverage. Fred very clearly told me that I could “get additional insurance from the Foreman on the day of the move.” This turned out to be completely FALSE. I realized this on the day of the move when the movers showed up and told me I could not get more insurance on the day of the move. I was stuck. My items to move were too expensive for the movers to move without insurance, I couldn’t get more insurance, and I couldn’t delay the move. They had me over a barrel. Customer service refused to work with me and kept telling me that I should have read the contract better. I read it. I read it with their representative, Fred. By the way, American Dream records all these calls and has proof of my call with Fred and knows that I am telling the truth about this.Yet they refused to refund me or sell me additional insurance. Consequently I lost my $600 deposit.
Also beyond the insurance issue, I had a major issue with them holding their scheduling commitment. While they gave a two day window for the move, once you receive the following text you would think they are locking in and committing to a date and time (NOT SO FAST). “Hello Lee. This is American Dream Relocations calling/texting in regards to your move that is scheduled to be serviced!! YOUR MOVING DAY IS SCHEDULED FOR Wednesday 7/9/2025 . Driver and crew members will be to the pick up destination between the estimated time of 10AM-2PM.” However on Wednesday 7/9/25, NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED during that time window. I started frantically calling the all the phone numbers that they provided, and NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. I finally tracked down the company they brokered the move to and they admitted there was a mistake in scheduling and they wouldn’t be coming on Wednesday but rather the next morning, Thursday. They not only didn’t show up the next morning but never got there until around 1:30 Thursday afternoon! I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY.
Response from American Dream RelocationOct 1, 2025
We are sorry to hear that you feel dissatisfied with your experience. At American Dream Relocations, we make every effort to explain our terms and conditions clearly during the booking process. For clarity, all customers are provided with contracts and disclosures outlining coverage, insurance options, and cancellation policies prior to signing. These documents are reviewed and signed electronically, and we encourage customers to carefully read and understand them before committing.
Regarding insurance, as outlined in the written contract, we do not sell or provide additional insurance on the day of the move. Any additional coverage must be secured in advance through a licensed third-party insurance provider. We regret if there was any misunderstanding in communication with your booking representative, but ultimately the written contract governs the agreement, and our policies are transparent on this point.
With scheduling, all moves are provided a service window. While we strive to keep all appointments on schedule, unforeseen circumstances such as dispatching delays, traffic, and logistical challenges with carriers can cause changes. This is why our contract explains that time windows are estimated and not guaranteed.
As for deposits, they are applied toward the reservation and are non-refundable once services are scheduled, as disclosed in your estimate and contract. This is standard across the moving industry.
We do appreciate your feedback and will review this internally with our team to ensure clearer communication moving forward.

Very rude and condescending behavior
I was talking to a sales person to get quotes, he had very rude and condescending approach towards me. Shouldn't be in customer service business with this approach. Absolutely don't recommend! teach your employees about treating customer properly.

Poor timing, missing stuff
I had a very poor experience with this move as the movers were insensitive about the timings and how to deal with a single mother. They arrived at 6 pm for the move when they were actually booked for the morning. The rates were increased at the last moment stating that their inventory did not match the actual moving stuff. The move was extremely unorganized and was rushed. While booking with the token amount, I was told that I would pay the balance once I was completely satisfied with my move. However the movers denied to unload the stuff since the Zelle money transfer did not work at midnight. After a couple of days I figured out that some of my stuff was also missing and when I called to enquire about the same, they plainly denied the claim and hung off. Recommend single ladies to be aware of such movers.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! Zero stars. Do not recommend. American Dream Relocation informed me that a specific carrier would be handling our move. I had opted to NOT work with this company until they told me the exact moving company that would be handling my move. The operations manager informed me that because we had a large move, that we would not be sharing a truck and that we could expect our belongings to arrive within 1 business day. On the day of the move, three men in a Penske truck showed up and informed me that the move would not be completed for 3-4 business days. This practice is totally unacceptable. Also, the movers that showed up determined that we had several "bulky" items that would add $$$ (over $1,500) to the price of the move. American Dream Relocation started dodging my calls, no one would assist in rectifying the situation. I ended up having to cancel the move and am now proceeding with legal action to get my deposit back due to their shady business practices.
Response from American Dream RelocationSep 10, 2025
We must correct several false statements made in this review. American Dream Relocation is a licensed moving broker operating in full compliance with FMCSA regulations. As outlined in Section 2 of the Estimate for Service and Section 16 of the Contract, our role is to arrange transportation services with an authorized carrier based on the information provided by the customer at the time of booking.
At no point was a dedicated truck service contracted or paid for. Unless explicitly stated in writing, moves are not guaranteed to be performed with exclusive use of a truck. The use of rental or leased equipment, such as a Penske truck, is industry standard and does not violate federal law or contractual obligations.
Furthermore, under Section 8 of the Estimate for Service, carriers are required to reassess cubic footage, labor, and “bulky items” at the time of pickup. Any additional charges are presented in a Revised Written Estimate, which must be signed by the customer before services continue. This process is federally mandated and ensures customers are fully informed prior to work being performed.
Regarding deposits, Section 16 of the Contract makes clear that deposits are non-refundable once carrier services and truck space have been reserved. Your request for a deposit refund is therefore inconsistent with the terms of the contract you agreed to.
Allegations of “shady business practices” or misrepresentation are inaccurate. All procedures followed in your move are consistent with federal law, FMCSA requirements, and the binding contract you executed.

The move from hell!
If I could rate American Dream relocation a 0, I would! Before booking my cross country move, they called me multiple times a day trying to get my business. After I experienced the move from hell, I called and emailed them several times and I have yet to receive a call back. The company they contracted for my move was unprofessional, attempted to charge me for every single thing, failed to put my furniture back together, and left holes in my wall! The worst part of it all is they did not have a professional moving crew. They hired people off Craig’s list the same day!! I am livid that this company would place my family’s safety at risk by hiring random people and bringing them to my home! Please stay far away from this company!!!!
