Good experience but be aware
I am very happy with my experience with American Beadboard. The two kits I ordered were good quality however I did expect the moldings to be a full 8 feet long. They actually measured only 94 inches long. Because I expected the molding to fit my 8 foot wall without a splice. Therefore I did need a splice. This should be taken into account when planning and ordering. Otherwise a great experience.
Response from American BeadboardDec 5, 2019
Tom, We appreciate the feedback and totally feel for you with regards to having to splice the molding. Unfortunately the 94" length is dictated by FedEx fees. FedEx will charge an additional $76 for a box that exceeds 95" and during the holiday peak season this additional fee is $113.00. So we were forced to reduce the molding lengths to 94". Best regards, Bob

Response from American BeadboardNov 19, 2019
Mark, we are thrilled you loved our beadboard and top cap. We apologize for the smashed corner on the boxes. We use double walled boxes and this is unusual to get damage. We stand behind all our shipments and would have replaced the damaged pieces for you.

Was hard to paint took about 4 coats but we love it!

Our recommendation is to prime twice with a good primer such as Smart Prime by Zinsser or Kilz2. Lightly sand after each coat with a 320 grit sandpaper and then paint with a good paint such as Advance by Benjamin Moore. For additional information you can look at our How To Paint page http://americanbeadboard.com/Painting_Beadboard.html

Beautiful Boards - Quality Control Prior to Shipping?
I received multiple boxes - non damaged in shipping however 2 pieces of headboard had broken corners and in both instances they were in the middle of the stack in the box... so disappointed that "quality control" allowed those to be shipped out. Luckily I was able to put those in areas behind the sink vanity so it ultimately didn't make a difference but would have had this been for an open room. Having said that, the beadboard is great - very easy to install, looks beautiful. I will definitely order more in the future.

Staci, we strive to deliver perfect beadboard panels and I apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused you. We stand behind our panels and if you need we will send replacements.

Easy to work with
Easy too order. Materials came quickly. Product was damaged on the corners, but since I was cutting the bead board shorter that was not an issue. Very happy with the deep grooves in the bead board, really stands out. Bead board was easy to work with, cutting with miter saw, oscillating saw, and painting the bead board was a snap. Finished job looks great. Would use again and would recommend to others. Ron White

Beadboard success
Very pleased with quality. I used Beadboard in mud room entry and a small half bath and the results are awesome. Delivery was pricey and FedEx delivered pieces of shipment over several days.
