Definitely waterproof.
I ordered a sample of the reversible headboard. It came very quickly. It looks great, is pretty thick. Some sort of easy care material. I showed it to my contractor and he said hmmm might not be waterproof - stick it in a bucket of water and let it sit. I did let it sit in water for a couple hours and it was fine. No swelling or seemingly any damage. I have not purchased a full amount yet, but I think I probably will go with it for a kitchen backsplash.

We make our moisture resistant panel from MedEx MDF which has the highest moisture resistance rating of MR50. We have submerged it in water for 3 days and have had customer submerge in water for a full week and it always held up well. MedEx is made in the USA, has a great density, paints well and has no added formaldehyde which makes it the only choice for quality panels.
