If I could give a negative star rating I would. I have had issues with Altra before, however, it did resolve. Now, I am not sure what is going on at the moment, but I will say this much: I've been faithful to sticking with Altra, and have regularly used their website. Last night however, I went to pull some cash, and the transaction was declined. I therefore called member services to find out what was going on, and was told that the account was slated for deletion. Fortunately, I was able to pull cash by using the credit card I have with Altra, but in trying to get my situation sorted out - I ran into the problem that there is no way to talk to a live person on Saturday (post-vid problem). In addition it seems my eStatements have disappeared. (A secondary problem - they keep sending me paper statements when I kept requesting eStatements). Therefore, if I am fortunate, I will be able to talk to a live person on Tuesday (Monday being a federal holiday) and get this sorted out. Last time they closed my account without notification, they blindly accepted a cross of information between me and some Guatemalan - either a drug lord, or a gun runner I forget which. In any case, it's time to find someone else to hold my money.

Do not bank at Altra, where they approve you for 30k side by side and deny you for 15k property...

Warning ⚠️ we used a contractor because we thought Altra Credit Union checked them out and made sure they were licensed to do electrical and air conditioning and heating. And at the time we built our home they did not. I could go on, but just know that we did our homework and got a mortgage with Southside Bank. The contractor is an absolute mess his name is Rob Kizer. And he will tell you one thing and do another!

I applied for an equity line. My info was not properly reviewed. I was not listened to. I have an 830 credit score, 3 paid properties, and owe NO debt. Was denied for lack of instalment loans, lack of auto note, and to many accounts with balance due. WTH?

Don’t trust them they will tell you one thing like you are a valued member just to turn there backs on you like a smack in the face. Was told they would take over my loan so all of them could be in one convenient spot to them just be told next day they are doing doing it. Take your business where you are valued not just a account or numbers on a piece of paper. Looking at switching all my loans and businesses to a diffrent bank that will accept me and not lie.
