A company that prided itself on…
A company that prided itself on complete transparency suddenly went silent and without ability to be contacted in the first half of 2022. I was an annual subscription member for at least 2 years and shortly after my subscription didn't renew in May 2022 and I never got my Spring Box I got an absolutely heinous email from this abomination of a company saying that they had gone through a bankruptcy and was under new ownership. They went on to provide links to articles about how to get refunds. This was what set me off. This company failed, cut off communication and provided no updates to what was going on, then sent all of it's customers on a wild goose chase to get their own refunds. I was an annual member and I could not get a refund for anything and they never sent me a spring box. They didn't even respond to my emails about it, didn't acknowledge me at all. Now, everyone, enjoy whatever response they have to my review along with the other 64% who gave them 1 star reviews. Their explanations are long winded and complete crap. I do not care what they have to say if they're not going to send refunds on their own accord or at least send me the last box I was due to receive and never got because y'all just up and decided to not send them out after all.
Response from AlltrueFeb 22, 2023
Hi Lauren, We understand the events that occurred last year were very unexpected and we are terribly sorry if they impacted you in any manner. I am also sorry to hear you had been unable to get a hold of our team. While the company was shut down through July, and the support team was being re-built over the summer, I am happy to confirm we are currently within our typical 24 hour reply time. Should you need to get a hold of us, or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our team at [email protected]. To provide a bit more information, Alltrue has been assumed under new ownership. but the brand our customers love isn’t going anywhere. Though exciting, this change in ownership was not anticipated. All customers who had a membership with the previous owners received an email over the summer with the specifics of their account. This email also provided information in regards to the shutdown and how to receive any funds which may have been owed to them by the previous ownership. If you need a copy of this email, or a link to the general assignment, please be sure to reach out to our Community Support team. We’re in awe of what Alltrue had been able to accomplish over the past 8 years, creating an incredible and engaged community, fostering meaningful partnerships with small businesses, artisan groups, and artists, and having made a tangible impact through fair wages, charitable giving, carbon offsets, and education. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to give the mission a second chance, reviving Alltrue as a change-maker and trustworthy source of discovery and education for members and a supportive partner to those Alltrue seeks to empower.
