Every time I call my problems are fixed very quickly

The experience we had following Hurricane Ida was very frustrating and overwhelming. My agent was of absolutely no help, stating he didn't even know how to read the estimate I received from our field adjuster and sent me to the mobile claims people who were set up in the Home Depot parking lot. They were helpful. Our field adjuster said he would not write that our roof needed replacing, but sent a person to check it anyway--this person showed up @ 7:15 PM and looked at our roof with his iPhone flashlight. My husband had to give him a better flashlight to look at our roof. He spent about 15-20 minutes on the roof of our house, but he neglected to check the roof of our additional structure. The field adjuster came out the next day and basically told me I should be grateful that Allstate is even continuing to insure me since Louisiana has been so hard-hit by storms during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. I was gobsmacked! I was then informed by someone with a better-than-average working knowledge of the workings of Allstate (our agent) that Allstate was a cash-rich company that had purchased another insurance company the year before for $4 billion--nice. I couldn't get a new roof--which had sustained damage from a category 4 storm for over 8 hours. He told me the field adjuster shouldn't have said what he did--duh. I was told that the sun would reheat the tar and seal the roof. Upon speaking to one of the people at the mobile claims location, she had another roof inspector come out and look at my roof DURING THE DAY TIME, and he determined that we INDEED needed a new roof. That's just the tip of the iceberg when it came to dealing with adjusters and how little money they wanted to give us for the damage we received. I know, in the final tally, we will come out of pocket a considerable amount because I am exhausted from dealing with it anymore. I had to request a new desk adjuster because there was an obvious language barrier. He also made a number of mistakes with our claim that the new adjuster had to fix...what if I had just accepted what the first guy did--I would have been out money that I rightly deserved. I am not a person trying to "get one over" on Allstate. My husband and I have been loyal customers for over 25 years. If this is how loyalty is rewarded, I can't imagine what other people are going through. It has come to the point that I had such anxiety and exhaustion from the appeals process and sending in supplements that I just can't deal with it anymore. We haven't even begun to repair the outside of our house and additional structure. The only thing we've been able to do is the roof and the fence. I'm just done.

A waste of time and money. The service is literally useless, protect yourself by using a VPN and identity protection tools offered by credit agencies

We had extensive damage to our car and the roof of a rental house in Western Kansas in May 2022. Allstate helped us through the car repairs (damage was $8,000) and replacing the shingles. Our agents are the best! Thanks Marc and Jeff!

Every time I call the details to my coverage is never explained correctly. I get a different story and explanation every time.
