CAUTION BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY !!
CAUTION BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY !! We contracted with Access Elevator in LaCross WI. to install a new elevator in our home. They stated it would be a 3 to 5 day process. Installation work was to begin on November 10, 2025. Work started a week later than promised with multiple problems, breakdowns, promised dates of service not kept, and an elevator that has continually broken down and has never work any ware near properly to this day. To their credit, during the first eight or nine months, Access has made numerous attempts to get the elevator working properly, but to no avail. It is now October 2026, the elevator is broken down and unusable and Access Elevator has refused to return to make the required repairs under the warrantee or replace the elevator, leaving us with a constantly broken down elevator. Complaints have been made to the Wisconsin Consumer Protection Agency but they cannot force Access to make the required repairs. We did retained a portion of the contract as leverage to make Access Elevator get the elevator working properly, or have it replaced, but Access Elevator simply refuses to do anything about their broken down elevator, and we again have no interior access between floors in our home. Response from Access Elevator, Inc.Oct 13, 2026
Joe and Sandy, we are sorry this situation has reached this point. Access has worked with you and the manufacturer extensively over the past year, including numerous service visits and manufacturer involvement, in an effort to address the concerns you have reported. We understand that you remain dissatisfied, and there are important facts regarding the project, its service history, warranty, and contractual status that we do not believe are accurately reflected in this review. However, because this matter is currently being reviewed through the appropriate formal process, we do not believe it would be appropriate or productive to debate those details publicly. Access has provided the requested documentation and a detailed history of the project to the appropriate parties, and we will continue to cooperate fully with that process. We remain hopeful that the outstanding matters can be resolved so that everyone can move forward.
