I have flown Air France for upwards of 40 years and for the first time I see Air France asking Business Class passengers on its Paris-Abuja route being asked to pay surcharges to select seat. This is discriminatory and after years of using Air France I will have to look for a less discriminatory airline. Shame on you Air France

I visited the AF website several times before booking my flight. The information presented was not consistent - the listing of dates adjacent to one chosen did not always show the lowest fares available for those days. This lack of consistency in getting pertinent data is very disconcerting and I made the reservation still not convinced that I had full information. Also, the cut off dates for the "special fares" is not found in an obvious place when choosing the fares. One does not know where the fare increases for the summer begin. I have been booking flights on AF for at least 10 years and the presentation format is different every time. AF might be trying to constantly improve its delivery of information but surely this should be settled and require just minor tweeks after so many years.

First, I found it difficult to figure out how to book the flight I was interested in. Second, there seems to be no way to combine paying for a ticket and using points to upgrade to a better seat. I had to pay for this as well.

The site is easy to navigate but the number of miles required for a business class reward ticket has become ridiculously high 200K-700K vs. 73K average that used to be. We mainly travel AF/KLM but most likely will switch to a different carrier.

Called Flying Blue agent to book a Washington - Malaga flight in May 23 using points. Agent told me only one day was available in May - not the date I wanted. Later went on Flying Blue website and book flight with my points for exact date I wanted. Appears to be a disconnect between live agents and website information.

Booking a flight was not a problem, what annoyed me was, when I was in the process of booking numerous flights for a European tour, hence it took a lot of time coordinating flights with hotels etc....every time I went back to the Air France flight booking, the price was increasing by the minute it had increased over $150 by the time I was ready to book....just within a couple of days, and this was eight months in advance...!!!!

Parts of this site are good. The site is clear and well laid out. Progression through the site is predictable. However the site falls down in a couple of areas. 1. The ability to see where Air France flies so that a customer can plan an itinerary would be great. If this was on the site, I couldn't find it. 2. The site doesn't give a month view of prices for a given route. The best you can do is choose a date and the site will then give you prices for that week. The site is also slow in showing those prices once a date has been chosen. 3. Requesting special meals is confusing especially if your itinerary has several flights. 4. The site needs a live chat feature. Getting through to the 1-800 number at the bottom of the page to speak to a live agent is impossible. After going through several steps, I was constantly informed that due to heavy call volume, the wait time to speak to an agent was over 45 minutes and the call was then dropped. I gave up after several attempts. If you have a complex booking where members of a party have different itineraries but want to fly together on specific legs of that itinerary, it is difficult to coordinate tickets online so that everyone is able to get on the same flight. Luckily, I was able to achieve this online but chatting or speaking to a live agent would have been really helpful and would have made the booking process so much quicker and easier. Had I not been able to achieve this online or speak to an agent, I would have had to cancel the whole booking. In summary, the site is good in parts, but for a national carrier, it should be better.
