I had a great experience!

My study abroad experience was the adventure of a lifetime. I am still so grateful to have had the opportunity to study abroad and to have met so many new people, to try new things on my own, and to learn about a different culture. Living in an apartment and attending classes in the heart of Rome was an incredible experience that I’ll remember forever. AIFS helped me every step of the way, and made it easy for my family and I to make informed decisions. My study abroad experience was more amazing than I ever thought it would be, and I would definitely recommend AIFS to anyone thinking of study abroad.

I studied abroad in Sevilla and it was an amazing experience! Our program coordinator, Edu, was literally the sweetest person and sooo helpful. He was there for anything we needed and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable in Sevilla. Sevilla itself was a beautiful place with beautiful weather! Although it was a city it felt more homey compared to other big cities like Barcelona and Madrid. I would recommend the Sevilla program to anyone considering studying abroad in Spain!!

This program was one of the best programs I think I could have gone through. Although I did not get to experience the other ones, AIFS was very helpful throughout the entire process. If you had any questions there were multiple people in which you could reach out to. I went through their Florence program in the fall and they made falling in love with Florence that much easier. Through the many activities, cooking classes, soccer teams, etc. all of those in the program easily were able to experience everything in that Florence had to offer. In addition the school trips that we had were all very interactive and made the experience 10/10 overall. If I hadn't gone through AIFS I am not sure how much better my experience would have been.

I am so glad I chose to study abroad through AIFS! They were helpful throughout the entire process of applying to study abroad and actually being abroad, taking classes and traveling. I love that I was able to take part in preplanned activities that immersed me in the culture of Rome and Italy! The historical walks, preplanned weekend trips, and cultural mentorship meetings gave me the ability to fully engage with what I was learning and experiencing!

Studying in Granada, Spain with AIFS was honestly one of the best decisions I ever made. I absolutely adored my host mom, Pilar, and she made me feel comfortable in a place completely foreign to me. Despite the language barrier, as I had very minimal knowledge of the Spanish language prior to studying in Spain, she made sure I enjoyed what I ate and was well taken care of. She even gave me medicine and cough drops when I was sick. Such a sweet woman! I loved my Spanish language classes at the CLM because they were small and intimate making the instruction much more personal. Noelia and Alberto were always available and happy to answer any questions I had and knew my name within the first week or two of the early start program. Granada was the perfect sized city for me- not too big like Madrid but big enough where we could do something new or explore a new part of town each week. The city is absolutely gorgeous with a view of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and it is only about an hour bus ride to some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen! I also met some of the most intriguing and adventurous individuals while studying here, three of which I know I will be friends with for the rest of my life. Overall, studying in Granada was one of the most enriching experiences of my life and I look forward to going back!

AIFS is one of the best programs! I had an amazing experience studying abroad in Spain! There were many fun program trips through AIFS; weekend trips to Morroco, Madrid, Sevilla, and Cordoba were very well planned! My favorite was the local activities in Granada, Spain such as the intercambios and cooking class! THANK YOU AIFS for the unforgettable memories!

AIFS has so many people who were able to help me through the entire application process, as well as guide me through my semester. They offered many excursions and trips through the program, which was so helpful with making friends and taking full advantage of traveling.
