My daughter was stranded in Philadelphia after she hit a pothole and two tires blew out. The towing company cancelled the request an hour and a half later and the tire shop will be closing in 30 minutes. Now their other towing company just canceled.

Never ever use Agero
Unbelievablly bad experience that I am not even finished with.
Adult special needs daughter gets an overheat light on the car; called USAA for assistance. Tow truck calls me, not my daughter. First truck is canceled, citing inability to find the car. Now Agero calls me, to ask if we still need service WE DIDN'T CANCEL ANYTHING. Nonsense. THEY ASK YOU TO CALL BACK, BUT THE NUMBER THEY CALL FROM DOESN'T ACCEPT INCOMING CALLS.
Second truck arranged, up to 3 hours wait. in 95 degree heat. Thankfully she broke down by Sonic.
After 2 hours, they send a Lyft for her. The second truck driver also never calls her. He will need an after hours gate code. How did he think he would drop off a car at 8p.m.? He calls me! Thankfully, I have gotten the code from the shop, and happen to be driving by on the way back from the hospital, so I open the gate and wait for them to drop the car, which they can't even angle the truck properly to offload.
Next day, when the shop tries to drive the car into the bay, they discover the tow driver has bent on of the tie rods. When Agero calls me to get the amount of the repair, they tell me they will just cut a check, I don't need to send photos or even the estimate (Actually an invoice). 7-10 days to get the check. UNTIL THE 7 DAYS HAS RUN and they call saying now they want photos and the invoice. I tried to liaise with USAA, but even they cannot get a call through. It's always 24-48 hours. No extensions. There was a time when I wouldn't have been able to repair the car without the payment up front. Thank fully I have great mechanic who will work with me.
I really am ready to sue!

Extremely poor communications
Extremely poor communications. Agero is associated with USAA and provides extremely poor service. They expect you to be and expert in Towing Services and take video of every aspect of the towing of your vehicle. It is the customers fault if you have damage to your vehicle from the towing company. They side with the towing company and find every excuse to not pay out a claim for damages. Intend to file a complaint with USAA about their service and USAA not monitoring what they are doing.

They are horrible
They are horrible. I was stranded on the side of the freeway and my safety and that of my car was at risk. They refused to offer any assistance in getting a tow truck quicker than the one scheduled for 90 minutes out. Didn't honestly seem to care and kept quoting useless information. I asked for the phone number and was able to get ahold of the tow truck company within 5 minutes and the truck arrived 15 minutes later. The car was towed to my house because it was late at night, and they were just as bad in trying to arrange a tow from there to the repair shop. I was lied to by them as well as the tow truck companies, insulted, mocked, and had 2 back to back no shows. Useless. I made my own arrangements and it worked out perfectly in both ease and getting it done in a timely manner.

Don't call unless you want more damage done
Sent by AMFAM (Costco ins) to assist my daughter in Chicago freeway rush hour traffic. Took 2.5 hours to arrive, driver didn't speak much English, didn't hook up the vehicle to the truck correctly, broke both front tie rods, damaged brake rotors and dented the oil tank in process of loading/unloading the vehicle (total trip less than two miles). Cost more to repair this damage than to fix the original reason for needing the tow. Contracted services need to be vetted regularly not just be available on a sign-up basis. Definitely a problem with quality control.

SERVICE PROVIDERS BEWARE
SERVICE PROVIDERS — BEWARE.
Our experience with Agero has been absolutely unacceptable. Cow Creek Towing performed services requested through Agero, submitted our invoices, and we are STILL trying to get paid.
The worst part is the complete lack of communication. We have sent email after email trying to resolve outstanding invoices. Emails go unanswered, payment does not come, and there is seemingly no direct phone number to reach a person who actually has the authority to fix the problem.
Agero can certainly find our phone number when they need a towing company to dispatch expensive equipment and take care of their customer. But when the work is completed and the provider needs assistance getting paid, suddenly reaching someone is nearly impossible.
Towing companies have payroll, fuel, insurance, equipment payments, maintenance, and substantial operating expenses. We are businesses — NOT an interest-free financing source.
Based entirely on our experience, I would not recommend Agero to another towing company or service provider.
Agero, if you want to change my opinion of your company, start by communicating with your providers and addressing your outstanding obligations.

Agero gets it wrong... it feels intentional
Agero continues to sublet to the bottom of the barrel in towing. Their contactors are typically rude, wait till after hours to drop the vehicle in the easiest spot available, usually in the front door of your shop. Then Agero doesn't hold them accountable for their bad behavior. It makes you feel like Agero not only condones the behaviors, but rewards them for it. If you're looking for services like Agero do yourself a favor and skip past them to a company that actually care about their customers.

Agreo & USAA
I contacted USAA for their roadside assistance, and they outsourced it to Agero. After two hours of waiting, the technician finally arrived. We could feel the car shake as he attempted to remove the donut in the back. The next day, my wife noticed a scratch on her car. We contacted USAA--they've been absolutely worthless--forwarding everything to their subcontractor--Agero. Agero does NOT respond to any inquiry. After WEEKS, they said we signed a release clearing them of any accountability. My wife and I never signed anything. When we asked for the document we allegedly signed, they sent us a document with some loops as a signature. This is neither mine, or my wife's, signature. I'm contacting Ohio's Attorney General's office as I believe Agreo committed FRAUD! Never use this company, and after 39 years at USAA, I'm probably going to leave them too.
