My fourteen year old daughter wears glasses and plays softball. She had prescription rec specs goggles years ago but never liked them. They would fog, and she never like their feel. So she got used to playing without glasses. I got on your website and decided to order a pair for her. I got her prescription from her optometrist and called to order the Slam glasses. When I spoke to Sharon, she told me that the best way to go would be to make the glasses digital so that there would be perfect sight at any angle, and she wouldn't feel like she was looking out of fishbowl. The minute she put them on, she said, "Dad, I can see better with my sports glasses than I can with my regular glasses!" She lined single to center field on her first at bat of the year. She loves your glasses.

I would definitely shop with ADS again. From customer service over the phone to their website, I was very satisfied. My daughter loves her 'Rec spec Betty's', which she wears for soccer. We could not find these at any local eyewear retailer. ADS shipped us a "try it first" pair to make sure they fit correctly. After trying out, ADS shipped us the final perscription pair promptly. Also the price was great!

Just purchased a new pair of prescription sunglasses. ADS is extremely easy to work with. I called in and was immediately connected (Nicole). She worked for 30 minutes to help me get the right pair for me. She made sure they would be delivered in time for my vacation (which they were). The quality of the glasses is high and I love them. I previously purchased a pair of prescription ski goggles and was also very happy with the service.

There is quite a bit of distortion in the lenses, when I scan my eyes side to side, it feels like I'm looking through a distorted glass window, and the prescription definitely looks stronger than what I ordered. After doing some research on the Internet, I knew that trying to get a good pair of prescription glasses would be difficult, and I wonder if they just don't have the technology figured out yet to put the prescription in curved lenses properly. I rode with them for an hour and ended up with a headache. I read about ADS on Joe Friel's blog and was really hoping this would be a high quality product. I emailed them last week and have heard nothing back as of yet. I have a group of riders looking for prescription sunglasses and some of them tried mine on and agreed with me. They may try another company and hope for a better result. Too bad, I was really excited about finally getting prescription cycling glasses.

When looking to upgrade an older pair of prescription REC SPECS, the ADS Sports Eyewear website caught my attention with the "try before you buy" option. With a copy of my eye prescription in hand, it was easy to set up my complete order and navigate their site to read detailed explanations about the various product technologies. It was great to have my entire order I wanted in their system, and using the "try before you buy" my shopping cart only charged me for the price of the frames, while holding the balance of the order. When I received the "try out frames" I loved the product quality. The enclosed documentation sealed the deal for me. I had the option to email ADS Sports Eyewear immediately to start making the lenses. They didn't need to receive the test frames back in their inventory before proceeding with the full order! As it turned out, during this period I swapped a couple emails with their support staff. The responses were quick, professional and provided plenty of detail. I returned their "try before you buy" product in the same packing it came in. Insured it for the amount of the frames I was returning ( to protect myself from shipping SNAFU's ) and waited for my Prescription REC SPEC SlamXL to arrive. UPS showed up at the front door, I signed for the delivery, and loved what I found inside! P.S. I got the FREE-FORM DIGITAL LENS SURFACING. I don't have any fishbowl effects from the curvature of the lenses. Viewing through these googles looks extremely natural. I use them under my helmet for Hockey. The vision quality is terrific. I even wear them around the house and for watching TV.
