The site needs to make sure the "Rescue" places respond to applications and inquiries in a timely, fair and equitable manner. Some rescues are hoarding the animals, hanging onto them after posting ads, non-responsive or just plain rude. Adopt-A-Pet needs to have more rules for those people - I have literally been pushed into running to the breeders now and I am super thankful they are out there!!! To all Breeders - thank you for being so nice and keep up the good work!!!!!

I have tried to adopt a pet way too many times and they have failed me everytime. I’m great with fur babies as I rescued them for over 40- yrs and was able to keep them all! Most were severely damaged but I have enough patience and love to help these babies heal. Do with adopt a pet knowing this and I have one dog there is no reason they won’t let me adopt one of their pets but that’s ok with I will never you this group again! After all petsmart is. One of their partners and the should be ashamed to use them as they killed some people pet while grooming them they left them alone and the poor animals hung their selves due to have a least tied to a rope about there head. A very good friend of mine brought her prized yorkie in and it died due to their neglect. There are plenty of adoption places the humane society and rescue groups! I’ll be using them for now on..

Rehome.Adoptapet tells you their process for listing a pet on their website under "How It Works"... BUT THEY TOTALLY NEGLECT TO TELL YOU that when you get to the very end and are ready to post the pet, they will then want your CREDIT CARD. I've already spent thousands on dogs that aren't mine. Don't want to pay ... and think it's totally disingenuous for them not to say up front anywhere on their website that WE CHARGE for this service.

I truly doubted that my senior cat would be rehomed, but within a month she is the newest family member of a local lady. This site is wonderful, when I had questions regarding my registration they were answered promptly. This is so much a better alternative to surrendering a beloved pet to centers that are already at full capacity. I would definitely recommend this as a #1 resource.

Highly recommended to not trust the spam reviews here and look at reviews on other sites. It’s mutually agreed by real people trying to help animals that this site is a SCAM. I wish I knew before I paid the posting fee. I paid to have a found dog posted because I’m trying to find him a good home asap rather than surrendering to a shelter. They took my money, and when I went to see his listing, it said he’s already been adopted and his profile is unavailable for the last 3 days. There is no way to contact a human being, and the chat bot only spits out what you can read yourself on their website. Very infuriating experience, and shame on this site for scamming people trying to help animals. Also shame on the shelters of Nebraska for recommending this site. Please look or post somewhere else, and thoroughly research like I didn’t.

I would say Adopt A Pet.com is a great website they give you important information that you need to know about the pet that you are looking at. I have not been on it very long but I think it is a good website. They have good options unless you are very picky about the pet and you have a lot of expectations. That is all I have to say about Adopt A Pet.com

Very quick adoption. We posted our pet on a Saturday morning and by Sunday we had 4 persons that wanted to adopt our dog. They vetted the adoptee and the family was a perfect match to our ways of life. Can't be happier with the service they offer. It was great that we were able to also vet the new owner instead of leaving our baby in a pound.
