I use the ankle brace as an active arch creator for feet that are totally flat--as in bone on the ground. The straps pull the arch up making walking much easier and quite a bit less uncomfortable.

I kid you not- I didn't think there would be a brace that I could wear that would make me feel comfortable enough to return to my sport following not one, but two, surgeries to repair a completely ruptured achilles tendon. I cried thinking I would never get to play netball again, but I spoke to my ortho surgeon and he told me about the ASO ankle brace. I ordered one from Achilles Medical and it took maybe 3 days to get to me. I decided to try it out last night on the netball court, my first game since the injury occured in May 2013 (we are now March 2014) and I completely forgot that I had an injury. The girls were shouting at me to take it easy - who has time for that?! This brace is phenomenal -- the best purchase I could have made
