Where do I start? The item listing is not accurate, the truck I bid on was listed as Runs&Drives on the betterbid site while Copart had it listed as not-running. The ECM and TCM were missing from the vehicle. Abetterbid will delay releasing the purchased item if you don't use their transporter so the organizer can pad the shipping quote and put the difference in their pocket. It took me 3 days to get the item I purchased released to me because I wanted to use a local tow company to collect from the yard. Copart themselves told me that they didn't like working with Abetterbid and recommended I use their site directly for salvage titles and Bidmaster for clean titles.

Hello! We completely understand your concerns regarding the vehicle's condition and the delivery process. As a broker company, we rely on the information provided by the auction house regarding the vehicle's condition, and we regret that we cannot offer additional details beyond what is shared with us. Regarding the delivery, we require all vehicles to be picked up by licensed and insured transporters to ensure the safety and security of the shipment. While we understand this may feel like an additional step, it is a standard practice we follow to protect both you and the vehicle during transit.

My experience with A Better Bid was extremely disappointing. I want to warn others to be very careful before bidding on vehicles through this platform. The vehicle I purchased was listed as having hail damage. Based on that description, I expected to receive a vehicle with hail damage—not one with major missing components. When the vehicle arrived, I discovered the engine was missing, something that was not disclosed in the listing. When I contacted customer service, I was told the sale was “as is” and that I could not get a refund. I understand what “as is” means, but it should not excuse inaccurate or incomplete damage descriptions. Buyers deserve to know what they are actually bidding on. This experience cost me a significant amount of time and money. My advice is to inspect every detail, verify the original auction listing yourself, and proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would not use A Better Bid again.

Thank you for your review. We understand your frustration, and we want to be transparent about our role in this transaction. We are a broker for Copart, and all vehicles are sold strictly "as is" per Copart's policy. As a broker, we do not physically inspect the vehicles ourselves. We rely on the descriptions and condition reports provided by the auction. We strongly encourage all buyers to conduct their own independent research as we clearly state in our terms and on our listing pages.

They do not give the title for the state you live in. If you are from Colorado and want to buy a car from Copart in Colorado they mark up the title as export only because they do not have a dealers license in CO.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your frustration. As an out-of-state broker company, we operate under specific regulations that require the state of purchase and the state of registration to be different. This is why, in cases where a buyer is from the same state as the vehicle’s location (like Colorado in your example), we’re unable to process the title as a standard in-state transfer.

Bought a car, was unable to register it in my home state and neighboring states. Abetterbid lacks the awareness to help and just insists I try another state. No state wants to touch my title or car. Stay away, they reassign a title with a FL dealer license only and their license isnt valid in other states. Unlike other companies that provide you with a title from their home state they are based out of. As you can see from their reply below, "we are unaware of any legal barriers that prevent the vehicle being registered in another state". Meaning they use their FL dealers license to improperly reassign titles and leave you with a mess that cant be registered

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve experienced. We are an out-of-state broker company. The vehicle in question was purchased in the same state where we are located. Before the purchase, we clearly notified the buyer and placed a stamp on the title stating that the vehicle cannot be registered in the state of residency. The buyer acknowledged this condition prior to completing the purchase. We want to be clear that the registration issue is not caused by our dealer license. Other states’ registration requirements vary, and we are not aware of any legal barrier that would prevent registration outside of the residency state mentioned in our disclosure.

Overall, my experience with A Better Bid was good. The purchase process was relatively smooth, and the vehicle information matched the auction listing. Communication from the broker side was helpful, and the documentation was available through the account. The vehicle arrived to Florida successfully, and the process continued moving forward. For first-time buyers, I would recommend double-checking export requirements and title documentation early in the process. Overall, a positive experience and a good platform for purchasing auction vehicles internationally.
