Bait & Switch & outright lying
They had a great price posted for a wine cooler that I wanted, so I went ahead and ordered it. It did show as In Stock. I got a confirmation email the next day - so far so good. Almost two weeks went by with no word. Then I get a call from someone in customer service saying I would need to pay shipping insurance. I had never heard of the shipping insurance ploy before so I didn't immediately smell a rat, but I told them there was no way I was paying this. If an item arrives damaged it is always the customer's right to refuse shipment. Well, they hummed and hawed and finally agreed that I could skip the insurance and then we hung up. No more news for another week. Then finally a week later they called me back again and said they were sorry but they no longer carried wine coolers. They did return my money right away thankfully. But it was a big fat aggravating waste of time.
