I needed to increase the quantity of my catheter supplies and spoke with an agent about the documentation required to make this change. After my physician submitted the updated prescription, we contacted customer support to confirm shipment details and were told the additional supplies would not be shipped until the next scheduled order—one month later. Because my current supply would not last that long, we had to repeatedly explain that the new prescription authorized an increased quantity and insist that an additional shipment of 150 catheters be sent. To make matters worse, the standing order for my regular 450-catheter shipment was canceled by staff without any communication to us. We only discovered this after following up and then had to make multiple calls to get the order reinstated. Had we not caught the error, I would have been left without necessary supplies for several months. The entire process was stressful, time-consuming, and required numerous phone calls and emails, many of which went unanswered. Receiving medically necessary supplies prescribed by my physician should not require this level of effort or create this much uncertainty.
