Beware Ladies and Car Repairs
Aamco Alexandria Va Pickett St, took full advantage of me a woman, held my car hostage for what damage they did and have not acknowledged, addressed or responded to my ongoing request for compensation. I feel violated in many ways since they think they can and will do this to females, seniors and get away with it. They have given me fictions people to contact with no respond. I have been trying to resolve this matter for months and have no alternative but to take it higher outside the company. To make a long story short, I received a new transmission from the company, no complaints! But during the process to remove and replace they did damage to other parts that was discovered while driving that put me in a dangerous situation and they will not take ownership for their mistake. My axle was broken during the process and they left it there which caused significant damage to other connected parts, when taken back they held my car for a month claiming to look for parts, once found they put the extra burden on me for the payment of replacing the part and labor charges for their mistake. First they held my car hostage because they stated undriveable which was true, I had to get a rental for a month waiting on parts or a mechanic to do the work, once the part arrived and total cost I had to argue that it was their fault and responsibility since my axle was fine when I came their for service and that was not the issue. They insisted that I either pay or they would not repair. Well its a good thing that I had two other certified mechanics evaluate the situation who stated the same issue was the fault of Aamco. Pictures, video and mechanic statements and service records are all recorded for the damage incurred during the transmission replacement. This is still an ongoing situation, and will come back with a update. I had to push this back due to family business, deaths and other issues but will continue for final resolution.
