AAMCOReviews of aamcopasadenatx.com

Avoid this AAMCO at all costs. We paid $4,452 for a replacement transmission and related work on our 2013 Nissan Altima. Over the next three months, AAMCO installed FOUR defective transmissions. Three began failing within approximately 20 miles; the fourth triggered another transmission code within 120 miles. We returned to this shop almost every week, yet they never permanently fixed the vehicle or provided us with diagnostic-code readouts. When we originally asked for a ballpark replacement cost, Bryan refused to give one before charging $310 for diagnostics. He later indicated that AAMCO’s approach is essentially to get vehicles into the shop before discussing costs. We believed we were purchasing a remanufactured transmission, but we now have serious doubts about what was actually installed. After the fourth transmission failed, the shop blamed a possible programming issue. On June 19, manager Edris signed a statement saying there were no transmission codes, the fluid was clean, and the vehicle had only “minor shift issues.” Despite that written assessment, AAMCO later claimed the 12-month/12,000-mile warranty was void because the vehicle was driven on a planned trip of fewer than 530 miles roundtrip. Nobody told us that driving the car, taking it outside some undefined “local” area, or declining to leave it at the shop would void the warranty. We repeatedly tried to have the recommended programming completed before the trip, but AAMCO delayed until it was impossible to schedule. After the trip, AAMCO continued gathering claim documentation and led us to believe a fifth transmission would be provided. Then, on July 22, they abruptly called the trip “neglect” and denied further warranty coverage. Apparently, a 12,000-mile warranty can be voided by driving fewer than 530 miles—even after the manager provides a signed statement minimizing the problem. The mechanical incompetence and warranty games were bad enough, but Edris’s behavior toward our fiancée was completely unacceptable. While she was trying to resolve a $4,452 repair disaster, he repeatedly called her “love,” “boo,” and “beautiful,” asked her to “hang out,” offered “big hugs and kisses,” joked that he tried to keep her there longer, and admitted that he was flirting with her. She was a customer seeking help with an unsafe, repeatedly failing vehicle—not someone visiting a dating service. Exploiting an already stressful situation to flirt with a customer was grossly unprofessional, demeaning, and creepy. After four failed transmissions, nearly weekly visits, months of wasted time, contradictory explanations, inappropriate messages, and a conveniently voided warranty, we are left with a defective vehicle and no meaningful relief. If you value your money, your time, your warranty, or basic professional boundaries, take your vehicle somewhere else.

Aamco Alexandria Va Pickett St, took full advantage of me a woman, held my car hostage for what damage they did and have not acknowledged, addressed or responded to my ongoing request for compensation. I feel violated in many ways since they think they can and will do this to females, seniors and get away with it. They have given me fictions people to contact with no respond. I have been trying to resolve this matter for months and have no alternative but to take it higher outside the company. To make a long story short, I received a new transmission from the company, no complaints! But during the process to remove and replace they did damage to other parts that was discovered while driving that put me in a dangerous situation and they will not take ownership for their mistake. My axle was broken during the process and they left it there which caused significant damage to other connected parts, when taken back they held my car for a month claiming to look for parts, once found they put the extra burden on me for the payment of replacing the part and labor charges for their mistake. First they held my car hostage because they stated undriveable which was true, I had to get a rental for a month waiting on parts or a mechanic to do the work, once the part arrived and total cost I had to argue that it was their fault and responsibility since my axle was fine when I came their for service and that was not the issue. They insisted that I either pay or they would not repair. Well its a good thing that I had two other certified mechanics evaluate the situation who stated the same issue was the fault of Aamco. Pictures, video and mechanic statements and service records are all recorded for the damage incurred during the transmission replacement. This is still an ongoing situation, and will come back with a update. I had to push this back due to family business, deaths and other issues but will continue for final resolution.

I went to see them because I believed my transmission was about to stop working. Instead they properly diagnosed my issues and recommended a place that I could take it. Never charged a dime. I was greatlful for the time and attention. A week later my cousin had some transmission issues in her car. So we took it in. The repair was tough to solve and they had her car longer than first predicted. Within a day or so of picking it up the issue was the same. She took it back and they completely fixed her car not charging any additional fee even though the issues was in a different location than they first discussed. I believe they went above and beyond to see that she would be road ready. Because of that I can recommend these guys to be fair and honest, AlND will do what it takes to help solve the problems. SO THANK YOU AAMCO GUYS!

This shop has some thieves working there. They robbed my vehicle blind! Stole over $2500 worth of tools and equipment. Manger on duty parks vehicles where no cameras are and out side of there lot. Beware if you go there, you items are not safe. BEWARE BEWARE. Terrible management now!!!! This happened at Aamco in 12341 Jefferson Davis HWY, Chester, Va 23831. I will NEVER use another Aamco just because of this place. Things like this never happened when Sean the owner was in the office!!!

Went for transmission rebuild price and if possible a price to install my remanufactured unit. Wouldn’t or couldn’t give me honest answer, only got the amount of hours it would take and ( just bring it in and we will check it and get it repaired. Not me.

I have been frustrated with a dealership for years of incompetence and while sitting for the second day just to get an oil change and had been there for 4 hours, I called and spoke with David about a CV joint requiring my axle to be replaced. It would cost $180 just to look at it for diagnosis at the dealership but David said it may not even be that and come over and he would check it for free. Then I was told I was going to have to wait yet another hour, so I called David about doing the oil change also and his price was almost half. David's team took my car in immediately, did the oil change, test drove the car, found I had broken struts (not CV joint), ordered parts, did the repair, adjusted my headlights, and test drove it again, all in 3.5 hours. Less time than I had waited just for the oil change at the dealership. My car sits higher now and drives much better and no more grinding noise when I turn, it really was a strut problem!! David is very easy to work with and very patient to listen to what my concerns are with my car and gets the job done quickly. From now on, this will be my go to place for all of my car repairs; even if I do have to drive further, it is well worth the trip!!
