UPDATE - One thing I will say for 8x8, they respond to 1 star reviews! After months of saying they thought they had fixed the problem, they finally managed to unsubscribe me from their weekly automatic reports. And to be fair, we aren't having the greatest experience with Teams, however I think it is still better than 8x8, but only just. 8x8 is definitely worth the extra 2 stars for the effort they put into unsubscribing me, and a shout out to Alison Stewart from their Escalations Team for never giving up! ORIGINAL REVIEW 1/2/23 - The quality of the audio was always questionable. We now use Microsoft Teams, better call quality, however less features. My biggest reason for only one star is there is no way to contact these guys to Unsubscribe from their reports. The chat is a joke, and there are no monitored email addresses. The Unsubscribe button is just text. So you can never get away from them. And the reports were rubbish.

I would not touch this company with a barge pole. We are a charity and have just finished a 3-year contract and they have and continue to be extremely unhelpful with porting our numbers over to a new provider’ in the hope of extracting more money from us, as we need to keep the service open to allow the number porting. They do not return emails or calls, and avoid passing the information necessary for us to be able to complete the tasks. They have never had any appropriate account management and until we started to inform them that we were ending our agreement, we had no contact. The quality of the calls are poor, especially if you are travelling or moving when you are talking. Please don’t use them unless you want to endure the shocking customer service we are experiencing. I have received support from the Escalation Team following this post, in particular Alina who has solved the problems and been so very helpful. I cannot speak highly enough about her resolve and ability to get the problems sorted.

I like how we can work from home using this service but continually have problems with connection. Even on desk top app. Its not due to Internet connections as this happens when using data too

The worst is when my wife texts me at work and they don't come through to my 8x8 number. Has caused several fights in our marriage to be honest. Other than that the system seems to be OK and has regular updates to hopefully fix things.

8x8 is a tale of two distinct halves. The good part is that the service works very well: Uptime is excellent; we have had many trouble free years of phone service with perfect call clarity, and no outages. The 8x8 Work app is constantly improving and allows you to take your work wherever you go. The admin interface is getting better, but is still a bit clunky and the knowledgebase is vast and searches often return a bewildering array of results. The bad: Support is appalling. The automated assistant is an annoying inconvenience, and whilst the 'front line' support tries their best and are usually very polite, they do seem very limited in what they can do. If they cant solve an issue quickly then it goes into the dreaded 'case' system where even a simple-looking enquiry may take a week or more to be resolved, because support simply dont respond or ever update you on whats happening. Sadly this has proven to be the case several times. So to sum up, a very powerful and flexible system sometimes let down by poor user interface and dreadful customer support.

We are on the 8x8 X Series Platform having moved from the original. The phone system itself is fantastic and has made such a difference to our company that we would be hard pressed to do without it. It has given us so many solutions to our communication problems that I wish we had been with them 10 years ago rather than 5. Why only the 3 Stars? Well there is one area were they are really poor and that is Customer Support. You can be waiting days for a response from the support site. And while this is fine if the issue is minor if there is a problem either with the system or if you are trying to figure out how to do something. But if the issue if affecting us as a client being able to do our work then a response or point of contact is needed right away not a day or two later. 8x8 need to have a support centre that can be contacted immediate to get results. Sort this and a 5 star review would be a given

I would love to see if there is an option to display the caller ID of my other landline than the 8X8 number. This is possible with other service provider which I might go to.
