Beyond terrible experience and rude “owner”
I had an absolutely dreadful experience with 1of1 Servers, primarily with their owner, who you will find if you do a little research in their discord server. while seeking insight before purchasing a VPS. Unfortunately, even after making a purchase, I encountered the same deplorable attitude, which left me feeling undervalued as a customer. The main cause of this frustration is, without a doubt, the owner’s demeanor. His rudeness and unkindness created an uncomfortable and off-putting process. It’s evident that he lacks the necessary patience and basic comprehension while reading support tickets, as demonstrated by most of my ticket transcripts. His responses often come across as rushed and impolite. Furthermore, their documentation, particularly regarding add-ons, proved to be confusing and lacked essential clarity. Consequently, I experienced unnecessary frustration, wasted time, and needless expenditure as I grappled with deciphering their offerings However, the most disheartening aspect was their customer service, which left much to be desired. The staff I encountered appeared disinterested, unhelpful, and even unsure about whether I could purchase an add-on alongside my chosen service. It’s evident that they still have a considerable amount of progress to make in terms of training and professionalism. In conclusion, I strongly recommend refraining from conducting business with 1of1 Servers. The owner’s attitude, absence of lucid documentation, abysmal customer service, and uncooperative staff collectively render them a company to be avoided at all costs. Below are some transcripts from tickets I’ve had with them: **Transcript #1: This transcript shows their staff being clearly confused and misleading at the beginning. And also showcases the owners attitude** trifflinn#0: Sorry for making another ticket. Just some general questions I would like to ask 1. If I buy the budget vps that’s in the screenshot. Am I able to get the free and the paid add-ons? Because they are not listed. However on the documentation I don’t see any limitations on the addons 2. Can the add ons be purchased separate after the purchase of the vps or does it have to be in the same transaction? kolvy#0: To my knowledge, you're able to get those services on any package that you get. They can also be purchased seperately. 1of1 servers owner: Hi, No, Budget VPS lines up does not offer those options trifflinn#0: So not even the paid ones correct? 1of1 servers owner: It does not trifflinn#0: Sounds good, thanks for the answers. I’ll most likely be ordering a vps later on today once I evaluate the choices a bit better and I’ll make a ticket again if I have any questions. I Appreciate your time 🤝 trifflinn#0: If I buy the lion premium vps can I then transfer to budget 2? trifflinn#0: I just want the GitHub tutorial and transfer to be honest because I’m transferring from ftp and would not want to mess anything up 1of1 servers owner: No you cannot trifflinn#0: Upon purchase of a premium vps what’s the estimated time for GitHub tutorial 1of1 servers owner: You'll open a ticket and reach out 1of1 servers owner: Let us know if you need anything else ————————- ****Transcript#2: This transcript shows the owners lack of comprehension when reading a ticket and you can clearly tell that the replies are rushed and sent with attitude.**** trifflinn#0: *sends screenshot* trifflinn#0: First pic is the 2nd budget vps package which seems better than the lion vps? 1of1 servers owner: Hi, We don't provide recommendations as everyone is different. Choose what you need trifflinn#0: between the two above, which is better in general based off of hardware? trifflinn#0: They just seem very similar and one is premium and one is budget, just wondering if you could give me a better explanation, for example the budget has 6 cores and the premium one has 2. how big of a difference is that power wise? 1of1 servers owner: Well, the name really says it. One is a premium package vs budget plans

We recently had a challenging experience with this customer who seemed intent on circumventing our established procedures. Initially, he opted for our most basic VPS package, which offers 4 GB RAM and 100 GB storage. Despite the fact that adding GitHub wasn't an option during checkout (due to storage constraints), he insisted on this addition. Interestingly, he omitted parts of the transcripts where he inquired about completely wiping his VPS to install GitHub. He also queried about switching between packages, seemingly attempting to circumvent the system. Our protocol is straightforward: if it's not available during checkout, it can't be added post-purchase. However, he continued to dispute this. The distinction between our packages is clear on our website - one is labeled "Premium" and the other "Budget". Yet, he sought further clarification, which is puzzling given the transparency of our offerings. His struggle to grasp a straightforward checkout process led to his own confusion. To sum it up, the root of his dissatisfaction seems to be his disagreement with the clear options we presented.
