Bait-and-Switch Hardware & Unfair Billing Practices
I am extremely disappointed with my experience using 1of1servers for VPS hosting. 1. Hardware Misrepresentation: Their storefront explicitly advertises and guarantees AMD EPYC 7302P CPUs for their Budget VPS tiers. However, upon checking my actual system diagnostics, my instance was provisioned on an inferior, older Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 processor instead. When brought to support's attention, senior administration brushed it off, claiming non-matching hardware was "equivalent." 2. Refusal to Refund Unrendered Services: I submitted an immediate cancellation request and completely wiped my server data on September 4th; 3 full days prior to the start of the September 7th billing cycle. Despite canceling before the new billing period even started, 1of1servers flatly refused to refund the advance payment for the unrendered future service term. Save yourself the headaches with hardware discrepancies and rigid support policies. I have had to file a formal dispute with my financial institution to recover funds for unrendered services and misrepresented product specs. Avoid this host. EDIT #1: Following my ticket, the merchant retaliated by terminating my client portal account entirely and cutting off access to the service I paid for up till September 7th, 2026 while still refusing to return my funds. EDIT #2: In further retaliation for this review and the ongoing payment dispute, 1of1Servers filed a report against my details on FraudRecord, alleging an uncooperative chargeback. Prospective buyers should be aware that attempting to dispute misadvertised hardware with this host may result in retaliation against your hosting reputation. EDIT #3: (September 8, 2026) – RETALIATORY FRAUDRECORD REPORT OFFICIALLY REMOVED BY PLATFORM FOUNDER Following up on the retaliatory 10/10 FraudRecord report filed against my account after I requested a refund for misadvertised hardware: FraudRecord’s founder, Harzem Yalçınkaya, launched a direct administrative investigation into the matter. After giving 1 of 1 Servers the required compliance timeframe to substantiate their claims with proof, the host failed to respond or provide any evidence to support their report. As a result, FraudRecord administration formally determined the report was unverified/retaliatory and wiped it entirely from my profile on September 8, 2026. If you are a consumer considering this host, be fully aware: requesting a refund for unrendered or misadvertised services may result in retaliation against your personal billing credentials, though independent platforms like FraudRecord will strip these false entries upon administrative review. EDIT #4 (September 9, 2026) – HOST BYPASS & ONGOING RETALIATION Immediately following FraudRecord administration purging their initial 10/10 severity report, 1 of 1 Servers submitted a brand-new report (Report ID: c0e548027f8d15f5) in an attempt to bypass the platform founder's ruling. In their own submission description, the merchant explicitly admits this action was taken due to a denied refund request and my posting of this negative Trustpilot review. Using industry fraud databases as a retaliatory review board against paying customers who request refunds or leave public feedback is a direct violation of platform policies. All new evidence, ticket logs, and bypass attempts have been submitted directly to FraudRecord administration for secondary removal.
