I have used this site to buy tix to Europe several times & have found the best prices here (by hundreds of dollars). You can't choose your airline (but they use major ones) or your seat, but that's not always important.

My husband and I have been scouring the web looking for a random cheap fare to Europe - saying that if it was under $500 we were going to buy it. We didn't think it was actually possible. Luckily, I had signed up for the alerts from 1800flyeurope.com and when the email came in, I decided to take a peak in case it would work out. The fare was unbeatable, and exactly the time frame we were looking for. So, it looks like we'll be spending 5 days in Ireland in October for under $500/person. The confirmation came in quickly, we were able to choose different flight time options, and generally the website was a breeze to use. Would definitely recommend (and have already).

It is impossible for an on-line booking site to be "glamorous", but not impossible for it to be "efficient". I believe the latter criteria is all that one can reasonably expect, and 1800Fly Europe fully delivers in that regard. Sometimes airline pricing is simply unexplainably high and when that happens there is not much you can do about it. However, we were able to find open jaw fares for Sydney & Singapore on this site that enabled us to drop our infamous "air inclusive" pricing on a cruise (where you never know the the exact times, dates, or routing until you are way past final payment and thus locked in), and purchase our own air with the timing we wanted and an upgrade in cabin class for no net difference in cost. Well worth checking out, particularly for international flights!
