I will say that the price match is great (their starting prices mean nothing-they totally expect you to find a price somewhere else but order with them) and the customer service is responsive BUT there are almost always damaged contacts and it's sort of a pain to have to deal with that and they use UPS which is terrible. You have to sign but you can't let them know when you'll actually be home to sign so chances are you'll have to be going somewhere else to pick them up. Next time, I'll probably just use the company with the more competitive price and skip all the price match hassle.

The last few times that I have ordered contacts from one 800 contacts, I get an email saying that there’s a problem with my prescription despite the fact that there is not. They clearly are doing this to try to get people to buy more boxes of contact lenses. I have been ordering from them from years however, if this continues, I will buy my contacts elsewhere.

I've used 1 800 contacts for a long time and have been generally happy with them. I tried to do one of their rebates though, and never received the check. I contacted customer service multiple times and they didn't help at all.

They claim to beat any price on contacts I've found the price cheaper on two different sites so far and the rebate? You have to purchase for full price just to wait to get 20 back on a gift card how is that helpful?

The website was very difficult to use. I put in my prescription and the site said I didn't and said they canceled my order. Then I re-entered the prescription and my order went through put charged me for 3 orders instead of 1. They charged my account for 3 orders without contacting me to see if I needed help. When I called they said they couldn’t cancel the extra orders because they shipped but it was Sunday and the order stated “preparing to ship”. I called and they said I would get a refund but it would take 3 to 10 days but they were able to charge me in less than 12 hours. I think their customer service was awful and the way the website works is terrible. Calling BBB if I don’t get a refund in 3 days. After working with the company for about 2 weeks I did get 1 pair of contacts and returned the extra 2 boxes I was charged for. They did refund my money after they got the extra boxes back, unopened. The contracts are good so far. I hope they look at their website and how orders are processed and fix the problems.

I’m not a customer but everytime I hear the commercials come on to YouTube and hear the “cmon what ARE YOU DOING?” girl I cannot help but lose it, genuinely ruins my day

I tried their online vision test Express Exam for a prescription renewal. I paid the $20 and followed the instructions and if approved you'll be sent your renewed RX in about two business hours. They encouåçrage you to place an order for contacts right away and they will ship once your RX is approved. I opted not to place an order until my RX was renewed. A full day went by then they sent an email claiming the image quality on my RX I uploaded was poor. They also encouraged me in another email to place my order for the contacts so they wouldn't be delayed. I did not. My RX picture was perfectly lit and readable but okay. They asked me to retake the exam (I called to make sure this wouldn't cost me. It was free as long as I clicked through the link in the email) I thought it was odd they didn't ask for me to re-upload my prescription pic again or enter it manually since that seemed to be the issue. I waited yet ANOTHER day for them to get back to me. Not two business hours. They sent me an email saying my prescription was expired and they couldn't send my contacts without a valid prescription. What?! That's the reason I was renewing. It was too much. I started to wonder if it was a scam. I contacted customer service for a refund and it processed a few days later. I paid $35 for an FDA approved online vision test. The process similar to Express exam through 1800 contacts, uploaded the same RX pic and I received my renewed prescription in less than 2 hours. No issues. I gave 3 stars because the customer service agent was very understanding and professional. This was my first experience with 1800 contacts.

I was a new customer to 1-800-CONTACTS. They were extremely helpful. They sent my RX and said to try them, and if they didn't work out, I would get a full refund. The first type didn't work out. The second type *did* work out very well. I returned the first lenses to them. I was waiting for my refund to show up on my charge card, as they already got them back on the 12th. (I am writing this on the 25th). So, I ask the agent where my refund to my AMEX is. Her first response "it takes 2 weeks". She said she would process and immediate refund as they had received the lenses back on the 12th.. I again asked her about that policy, and my disssatisfaction with them not promptly refunding to my credit card. Her next question was "did you return all the lenses in their box?" WHY would they ask that question? They just got done saying they received them on the 12th. I asked the agent why it takes 2 weeks for a refund, Amazon does it same-day. Her response "it takes up to 2 weeks for a refund, but I will process one for you now". I told her I was dissastified with that.. Her response? 'we are having staffing delays for returns'. So, let me get this straight - you have all the people in the world to TAKE and FILL a order, and CHARGE my charge card, but you don't have enough people to promptly issue a refund on returned goods? I personally will not re-order from this company until they change their business practices when it comes to refunds on returned products. Why do I have to call and complain to get a prompt refund? For right now, 1-800-CONTACTS is only getting 3 stars for a review.
