1 800 Contacts Is a Rebate Scam
Their so called "One and Done" Rebate is a scam. They have no intention of sending you a rebate. I mailed my $70 Rebate on the same day as my purchase. The rebate form is printed on their web site and all you do is fill in your mailing address. They literally already have ALL of the other info. It's absurd to have to Mail them your mailing address. I called to check on my submission after 6 weeks when no rebate arrived and was told I needed to wait the full 8 weeks. I called back at 8 weeks and was told they never received my rebate and they would look into this and call me back. They never called back and after 10 weeks I called again and was immediately told that there is no longer any $70 rebate and they would be happy to give me a $35 credit. That is not acceptable and there is ZERO chance I will ever purchase anything from 1 800 Contacts ever again. Lots of hidden costs and a Total Scam. It's clear this was the planned outcome and their scripted responses made it clear that there must be many other victims who are impacted by this scam.
