Worst customer service ever. I uploaded my prescription and they canceled my order telling me I didn't order the brand on my prescription. Then told me that a contact exam and prescription is brand specific. Bullcrap. I have worn contacts for 20 years and NEVER had to order any specific brand. EVER!!!! SO I paid 135.00 for a prescription for only 1 brand? No.... Complete nonsense. That's like me ordering glasses and you telling my my prescription was for only one brand of lenses. It's a flat out lie and I am thinking of sueing them. If they are doing this to hundreds or thousands of people it's fraud on a grand scale. I am filling with BBB and whoever will listen about these snake oil salesman.

Spent $20 for rush shipping to get some colored contacts for an event. Ordered on the 1st, needed by the 12th. I sent them a script to make the process speedy. Didn't receive until the 23rd and they gave me the wrong prescription strength. They "verified" it with my doctor who "approved it". Called my doctors office and they said they have received no calls for my eyes, office lady said they note those types of calls in my file, and they certainly didn't approve a script that was too powerful. Company is doing an exchange but I wonder how long I'll have to wait this time!

Customer service is terrible!! They didn't verify my prescription prior to processing my order. They didn't even have my written prescription yet nor did they call the office to verify my rx. I received the wrong contacts, in their error now I have to pay to return them and they ate rude giving me very little direction how to return these unusable contacts!! I would not recommend!!!

First, the only reason I tried to order at this online retailer was that my eye doc changed practices. She moved to another city and until I found another doc, I needed to get refills. I was fooled thinking 1-800-contacts is easy to order your contacts. It too me almost two months to get my order. After their $20 eye exam and uploading a photos of my lens boxes, they still required verification rx from eye doc. I provided them contact info. Instead of following through they deleted my order twice. I informed they had no more contacts and without them I cannot see. 6 weeks later I followed up again. And, even though I started a new order, uploaded a copy of my rx, and paid for 1day delivery they still did not send my contacts. I followed up again. Uploaded my rx again. And I emailed my rx. And even though my profile stated they had my rx, from the beginning, customer service claimed they did not have it. They promised on Thursday, they would send for special delivery on Saturday. It was a “one time exception”. But they did not. It was sent for Monday delivery. Being multi focal lenses, my lenses are not standard. My only assumption is that they do not stock my lenses and rather than stating this they string me along and lied to me about not receiving my rx. I do not recommend this retailer and if you do, do not pay for their eye exam.

Just wanted to let everyone know that 1800Contacts (1-800 Contacts) is a total SCAM company. They promise rebates that they do not honor and intentionally mislead their customers. Their customer service is horrible. Do not use their service and never order their contacts!

My first order with 1-800-contacts went smoothly but this time it was horrible. I spent an entire day texting back and forth with them telling them that I had a verified prescription on file. I even sent them an email from 1-800-contacts from Sept. 3 stating that I had a verified prescription on file. They were rude and condescending to say the least. Finally, after an entire day of going back and forth they told me that they were verifying my prescription with my optometrist. Why was this not communicated to me in the beginning? The entire situation was handled unprofessionally and a resolution could have easily been reached. The idea of order online is for convenience and I did not have a day to spend texting about my contacts. Not a happy customer.

My gas permeable contact lens broke in my eye and caused stabbing pain. Luckily it didn't cause permanent damage. However the company refused to replace it saying that they provide these at cost and maybe go to an eye doctor first. The cost of going to an eye doctor would have been higher than the cost of replacing the lens. This is not a company that stands behind its problems

This has been a literal nightmare process trying to buy contacts here. I ordered contacts almost 3 months ago - and I check out on their site using my vision insurance, for a final amount of $96.98, using paypal. They then proceeded to just charge me $321 without telling me. I noticed this and contacted them for a refund and asked why they did this and they just waffled around it. They refunded that afterweeks, and then just charged me $225 AGAIN without asking me - saying that this was in case my insurnace didn't work. I do not have almost $400 to be held up by this company, its been months and they keep on telling me dates that my refund will be here and they come and go and they don't contact me and I have to chase them down. what they're doin is totally illegal. I literally missed my rent payment this month because of them. I am at a loss here - I feel bullied and like they don't care that that money is a real issue for me when I am paycheck to paycheck. Its been months now they've had my money and I have asked for them to just wire me the money back as they literally took it from me and they would not.
