If there is anything I can tell anyone do not absolutely do not try to order contacts from one 800 contacts. They are a big joke nothing but chaotic mess. I have been lied to so many times within not even 24 hours and totally screwed because of them. They are misleading and misguiding. They took my prescription on there even though it was expired they took it and took all my money and now they’re telling me after they told me last night no matter what your contacts will ship Monday no matter what knowing I had a prescription that was expired, but they still took $128 now they’re telling me they can’t fill it Because my doctor said it was expired. They told me last night no matter what even if the doctor hasn’t verified it, the shipment will still ship on Monday now I’m stuck out of town with no contacts and no money and they’re telling me it won’t go back on my card till 3 to 10 days. Ever since I ordered last night this has been going on. I’m so upset right now so do not order from them. It’s a complete joke.!!!

As a loyal customer, I’ve always associated this company with great service, but this interaction was unacceptable. When an issue required escalation, I expected professional support. Instead, I encountered a supervisor who was dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful. They repeatedly interrupted me, refused to fully hear my concerns, and offered vague answers that failed to resolve my issue. Their lack of empathy and accountability completely contradicted the basic principles of quality customer service. Supervisors should embody the company’s commitment to excellence and professionalism, yet this experience left me feeling frustrated and devalued. 1-800 Contacts needs to address such conduct to maintain their otherwise strong reputation. This incident was a stark departure from the great service I’m used to, and I hope the company takes corrective action to prevent such experiences in the future.

This website is an absolute scam. I attempted to order contacts here today, and I thought it would be easy. I uploaded my prescription and also provided the name and phone number of my doctor. But the prescription was never verified. I tried to do a live chat, but got connected to someone in India, who was barely able to speak English. They copied and pasted a bunch of random junk into the text and never answered any of my questions. They then told me that it could take up to a month to verify my prescription, but that my card had already been charged. I was thankfully able to cancel the order, and after I receive my refund will be permanently deleting my account from this website. It is clearly a scam, I hope the government shuts them down.

Absolutely horrible. I have received 5+ conflicting emails in the three past days. Some say my prescription has been verified and my contacts are on their way; some say my prescription is not accurate, and my contacts aren’t on their way, one said something about my “box top” picture not being accurate, when my doctor’s prescription was included with the picture of the prescription on my previous “box top” of contact lenses. I thought maybe two different pictures of the same exact prescription would help them. I WAS WRONG.

I uploaded a contact prescription conducted by the US Navy. At first the company did not want to honor it, then eventually they agreed. Turns out, they shipped contacts from a prescription I had over 5 years ago. They claimed I did an eye express exam online (which is not true) and somehow those numbers haven’t changed for 5 years. It also shows on my account my military prescription was on file.

first and foremost, they lie. They tell you that you can order contacts but then once you order it asks for your prescription. But my prescription was “expired” which required me to do ANOTHER $20 “test” on their website to get the same exact prescription that they said was “expired”. They basically force you to do the $20 test in order to get contacts. And then you go on their page they only have five star reviews but once you look at another third party website for reviews they have all low reviews. All in all, I highly don’t recommend ordering from them. You save more time just going to an eye doctor than ordering through them. Also don’t pay for over night shipping cause they hold the package till 5pm so you lose that whole day. They really don’t care about you only your money. Bad for business never again. After 7 days i still don't have my package and is ridiculous.

Was told that 1800 contacts beat or meet anyone’s price in the USA .. well they can’t beet Warby Parker .. asked manager if they can match Warby Parker’s 25 percent off contact .. she said no .. even though Costco and Warby are much cheaper .. manager tried to throw in my face that deal for new customers and that’s why they wouldn’t honor the lower price .. no where on website does it say anything about new customer. No wonder you are suing them instead of being cheaper and better. .. sad I use to use 1800 for last 5 years .. Then they have become petty and non helpful . I not paying almost double what I paid last year for exactly the same product .. don’t let them treat you like a clown

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with this company. My original order was for daily contacts, but due to an error on my optometrist’s prescription, I needed to send in the correct one. Despite promptly submitting the updated prescription and clearly stating over both email and phone that I wanted daily contacts, I was still sent biweekly lenses. I’ve had to explain the situation multiple times to different representatives, and changes to my order were made without my approval. I was charged more than my original order, and the resolution offered—a discount on a future order—feels inadequate given the repeated mistakes and lack of accountability. This entire process has been unnecessarily stressful, and I now regret using this service. At this point, I’m seeking a full refund and will not be ordering from this company again.
