Booked an appointment around 3:45 pm to get the car battery replaced. Immediately got confirmation that they’re waiting for a technician. Then nothing. 4 hours later, nothing. Tried calling, their customer service was closed for the day. 5:30 am they emailed saying “no eta. still waiting on a technician”. 3.5 hours later that, still nothing. Finally contacted customer service to just cancel. I had an important doctor appointment, I can’t sit and wait and wait and wait. At least cancellation was easy. But definitely won’t give them a try in the future.

I booked and paid for a car battery and installation for a two hour window the following day. At ten minutes to the end of the window, I had not received any updates so I went to the website customer service chat. They informed me that they were "searching for a tech for my order." I asked for a refund which was promptly issued. I was relieved at that but annoyed that I had wasted so much time. They should have notified me much earlier that no tech was available and I would not have wasted my afternoon. Just relieved that I did get my money back.

I really wanted this to work. But despite promising a very short window of response, I placed order at 5:47 pm but heard it was after hours. The next day tech scheduled between 1-3 pm. No updates, no show, I called them at 3:30 and they said they had issues finding a tech. I usually contacted them for any updates , they did not initiate. Went into the next day and they continued to have same issue not being able to secure install tech. I finally canceled almost 48 hours after placing order. They were very accommodating but just couldn’t deliver on their promise.

I really appreciated the convenience that 1-800-CAR-BATTERY offers—having a car battery delivered and installed at your home, workplace, or wherever you are is a great idea that can save time and money. However, my recent experience left a lot to be desired. The technician arrived nearly five hours later than the scheduled time, which caused significant disruption to our day. Even more concerning was that the tech who arrived was clearly unwell. He disclosed that he has diabetes, was visibly sweating profusely, and mentioned that he normally doesn’t work summer hours. Out of genuine concern for his health, we had to ask him to stop mid-installation so he wouldn’t faint. While the batteries were eventually installed correctly and everything is working fine now, the long delay and the condition of the technician were both unacceptable. I hope this company does a better job of supporting their workers and being more accurate with their scheduling in the future.

First the tech Kevin was great. Battery changed in 5 minutes and took the old battery. The service though. Ordered at 7:45am and told 1 hour service. Contacted them. They then said they don’t open until 9am. Then at 10:30am they told me 60 minutes or less a tech would show up. No one did then I was told it can take up to 6 hours. The tech then showed up at 2:30pm. I was at home luckily but if your on the road I would definitely not recommend this service.

I scheduled an appointment for between 8 AM and 10 AM to have a battery replaced. I did not receive any contact from the company so I called them when no one had contacted me by 10:30 AM. The tech showed up at 12:30 2 1/2 hours after the end of the schedule appointment time. Detect did a very good job and the battery got installed. Waiting that long screwed up my whole day.

The battery was delivered and installed 24 hours late. The battery was not the one I ordered. So I would have to describe the is company as unreliable. On the plus side, the deliverer/installer was very nice and helpful.

Although the Company gives you a two-hour window for service, they were still late by approximately one hour. Customer Service did not care about their tardiness in the least. On the phone they were rude, insulting and basically dismissive of my time. The individual who installed the battery was courteous and professional, otherwise this review would have been even worse.
