NEED A CAR BATTERY REPLACED IN A TIMELY MANNER?! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! Purchased and booked a battery the afternoon of 11/29 for delivery 11/30 between 8-10 am….got confirmation email THEN CRICKETS. Called the customer service number at 10 am waited for 30 minutes on hold for the customer service to tell me he will be there at 2 pm. IF YOU KNEW THAT COULDNT YOU HAVE REACHED OUT TO ME TO LET ME KNOW! It’s coming up on 2 pm now NO CONTACT FROM THE DELIVERY DRIVER “Dre” NOR MY BATTERY! Could you imagine if you were stranded on the side of the road in the cold?! THANK GOD MY CAR IS IN MY PARKING LOT! Wasted an entire day of my time for their “speedy delivery and install” when I could have already towed my car to a service garage and replaced the battery faster than your “roadside service” BUYER BEWARE! Total waste of money and time! Oh and don’t bother using their “text message us” crap they don’t respond AT ALL! Stay on the 1-800 line and wait because it’s the only response you’re gonna get. AFTER CALLING FOR THE 3rd time today they’re telling me he will be here at 4 pm. 4 pm passes no battery no call from “technician” I contact them AGAIN…then they tell me he’s on his way now he has to go “get my battery from the warehouse and he’s on the way” 60-90 more minutes MAX. 90 minutes pass STILL NO BATTERY NO TECHNICIAN….contact them AGAIN-then they say would you like to reschedule? By this point I LOSE MY LITERAL MIND. I have to get basically indignant and FORCE THEM TO REFUND ME. So here we are 24 hours later NO BATTERY and NOTHING BUT LIES FULL RIP-OFF AND SHADY PROMISES. Wasted an entire day of work wages and received NOTHING. ZERO stars for customer service

Honestly, I find everything about this process to be subpar. I waited 30 minutes for a response from you, only to learn this is delayed by 5 hours. No notice, no way to follow up. I called, waited 30 minutes, no response. I texted, still no response. I could have had this taken care of this morning locally, without the hassle. Lesson learned.

They showed up with a battery that is $60 cheaper than the one I ordered and when I contacted customer service they told me I should have read the small print in the FAQ section. Who does that? And they promised to call me back after I requested an escalation and if course no call. Total ripoff.

Car battery died after 4 months. Tried to get them to come out and cover the warranty which they quoted me $99 if the battery was bad, then sent me an order for $511.31 Had AAA come out. Dead battery. Replacing is $75 cheaper than 1800battery.com Lesson learned

I ordered online a replacement 95R/H9. They also state that they will retain your memory settings. The tech showed up without the correct battery. An H8 900cca instead of what I ordered a group size H9 950 cca. He said that he brought what I had ordered. I showed him the order and he said it didn't matter. I also asked about retaining my settings and ge didn't have that with him He would only change the battery and if I didn't want the battery I could just cancel. After waiting for 4 hours and having him show up without the proper tools and without the correct part I cancelled. Now they want to charge me 133.33 for showing up with the wrong part and no tool to retain the car's settings... Don't do business with them or you'll end regretting you ever went to their site....

On April 21, 2022, I called 1-800-Battery because the dead battery in my camper van was not responding to my small portable jump starter. I discussed with the agent—who said his name was “Jose” and that he was located in California—the prices of replacement batteries and decided on the middle grade, for a total price of $292.77, including installation.  "Jose" told me that a local technician would first test to see if the battery could be jumped before replacing it. If so, he said, the only charge would be $99 plus tax, or $107.35, not $292.77 for a battery replacement. "Jose" assured me that nothing would be charged on my credit card until the service was finished and the final price known. I gave him my credit card #. The local tech showed up as promised and successfully jumped the battery. He confirmed that my charge would be $99 plus tax, for a total of $107.35. I would have been delighted with 1-800-Battery if the story had ended there. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that the full amount of $292.77 had been charged to my MasterCard. I called the same number and again reached “Jose” in California. He apologized and said he would correct the charge that very day. But nothing ever changed. I contested the overcharge with MC. But since the transaction was all verbal over the phone, I could not provide any written documentation of what had been promised and delivered. So I have been forced to pay MC the entire $292.77 rather than the $107.35 for service actually delivered. Over the last two months, I've repeatedly contacted 1-800-Battery, but after an initial promise to "escalate" my complaint to corporate higher-ups, no meaningful response has come. They did send me one more email asking for my order number, which I couldn't provide because "Jose" never gave it to me. But I provided the precise address where the local tech had come to service my van on that date and suggested that they look up the order in their records, based on that address or my name, phone #, credit card #, etc. 1-800-Battery never replied to me again. I've given 1-800-Battery plenty of time to make good on "Jose's" promise to adjust the inaccurate charge, so I'm filing this warning with TrustPilot so others may not make the same mistake. If this stonewalling is an intentional deception by 1-800-Battery, it is a major breach of ethics, not to mention a terrible way to treat a customer. If 1-800-Battery is an honest company, it owes me a refund of $185.42. I intend to warn my many friends who are van campers. CAVEAT EMPTOR.
