Very disappointed with my first opportunity to utilize this company and their service after reading good reviews from others. Had a morning appointment (8-10) that was booked the day prior. 10 minutes from the end of my appointment window and there was no call or update. I called for a status and was told they were short staffed and someone would be out in another 90 minutes. Unable to provide me with confirmation, I was told I would have an update for a local technician in my area in 5 minutes. I called again 15 minutes later to be informed that the technician who was contacted was 50 miles away and rejected the order. The service was paid for in advance (in full), appointment was booked and confirmed, and I was left hanging without prompt customer service. In the time it took to find out this would be a dead end, I could've researched and found other reliable options.

Absolutely horrific experience. Everything that could go wrong did. I paid in full and provided all my info. Was told 2pm tech would arrive. 3:30 came and I texted to ask where tech was. I received a text back saying time was then moved to 4-6pm. At 6 pm I texted yet again and asked where the tech was. I received a text message that said “been delayed eta another 45 minutes” Well at 45 minutes I wrote yet again asking where the tech was. This time no response. About 7pm no response no tech nothing. I canceled the order. At about 7:15 the tech finally showed up. He was bitter and angry and yelled at me and argued with me. It was my fault!? Plain nasty towards me. He did not look at all like he was with any company. His car was literally a wreck and dented and damaged and had multiple paper temporary plates on the car. His disgust was beyond obvious. This is the way a customer is treated. And a first time customer! I started doing research and that’s when I found hundreds of complaints and issues with 1-800 Battery. Initially I believed what was on their website which was all positive. Now knowing what I know it’s obvious it was fake. State Fraud Departments and Attorney Generals should begin investigating this company. If he had shown up with any form of apology or concern for us at all we probably would have gone ahead with it. Attitude, hostility, bitterness and then being ignored. Great values for a company to have. It was our fault. The tech said “man I drove all the f’n way here from Philly” Let’s see Philly is 15 minutes away not 5 hours. The COO of this company should be fired. It felt like a scam the entire time. Buyer beware. I better see my refund of nearly $500 very soon.

Terrible, left my trunk a mess. My mechanic said he did not install the battery properly. I missed a day at work because the car didn't start again. So I'm out $300 to 1800Battery and $75 to my mechanic. I feel I am due a refund.

Same issue as everyone below. Replaced the battery in January this year. Died, left me stranded so had it towed to AAA (not imagining it would be a battery issue 8 months after replacing). AAA says battery is useless but 800Battery won't honor warranty because a reputable 3rd party tested/replaced it.

They will not honor the warranty if the battery is used. What? Like, isn't that the point of a warranty? They claim the warranty is also voided by removing it, if you use a 3rd party. Well, when your car breaks down by the side of the road, you may not have a lot of options here. So, yeah, kind of convenient for them. I bought a battery with a 3 year warranty, and it lasted not much longer than a year before it died and suddenly left me stranded. Had to call a tow truck and then have the battery replaced. The customer service was very brief and then unresponsive after I explained my circumstances, telling me I was at fault for voiding the warranty by having a 3rd party replace the battery. Overall, I'd say this is a business that is not interested in standing by the one product they sell. Sketchy at best.

Battery that was installed in my car from those people was a bad one!!!!!! From another mechanic, I found out that the 800-batteries mechanic damaged one of the parts of my car while replacing the battery.

I had a car battery installed at my home in Jan'24 by this company at a cost of $378. Then, in June'24, the auto for which this baterry was installed, died. The AAA rep said the battery cables were loose. I then had to spend a good portion of a work day dealing with this, because, the auto's diagnostics had to be reset by a mechanic, at a cost of $163. I recently spoke with 800Battery regarding this issue, and, they have refused to reimburse me the $163. Their position is that "anything could have happened in the 6 months to cause this", wow, I am very surpised at this and will not give future business to this company.

Doesn't stand by their products I had 1-800-battery replace a dead battery in my car on July 23, 2023, It drove fine until I had to go out of town to work Oct 31st. I returned after Christmas and found the battery dead. I called them and they sent a technician who tested the battery and replaced it. That call cost me $50. It drove fine until I went out of town again on April 10. Fast forward to June 10 when I returned home from work and again found a dead battery. I called again and was told they only come out once on the warranty. It hasn't even been a year and I am out nearly $500. My advice, use a local company that will stand behind their products. Every other battery I've ever bought had at least a 3-year warranty. The convenience of using them has not been worth it.
