1-Star Review: Unacceptable Access Issues, Safety Hazards, and Business Disruption-Considering legal action. ​I am highly disappointed with the complete lack of operational management at this facility. My storage fees are fully paid and up to date, yet I am completely locked out of accessing my property. ​The facility grounds are currently a disaster zone. There is a massive hole in the ground preventing vehicles from driving up to the gate. Because I run a business and urgently needed to retrieve my inventory, I was forced to park and walk over hazardous areas just to reach the keypad. To make matters worse, once I navigated the construction mess, the gate was entirely non-functional. I put in my access code and it failed to open, meaning there is either no electricity to the unit or the property is completely locked down. ​As a business owner, this is not just an inconvenience—it directly impacts my livelihood. Because of this negligence, I am unable to access my inventory and am being forced to disrupt a scheduled event for a client's party. ​You cannot legally charge a customer for a service and then completely refuse them entry to their own property. I will be vacating this unit at the end of the month. I do not care what your standard cancellation policy states; 10 Federal Storage has fundamentally breached its agreement by failing to provide safe, reliable access. Avoid this place if you actually need to get to your belongings.

If I could give Zero stars I would. I’m pissed. 10 Federal started managing Forward Storage and all of a sudden I’m being charged for insurance which I already gave to Forward Storage and am access fee for technology! No! I’m not paying extra to access my unit because they decided to install technology that I didn’t ask for. I called them to find out why my rent was higher. The first day I waited in hold for 45 minutes and had to hang up because I’m a busy person and that’s a ridiculous amount of time. I emailed them with no response. I called the next day and waited another 35 minutes while trying to work because I have a life. The guy finally answered and was extremely rude when I explained I was being over charged. I have insurance. I can provide that. I am not paying extra to access a building I’m already paying for! NO! I’m not!

Bid and won a lien unit. I followed all of what was asked of me. I was given a gate access code and combination lock code. I drove over an hour away to empty unit and the lock code did not work. They were closed and offered no after hours service so I drove home and called the next day, I was told the lock was changed and the unit was now “available” to rent. Luckily I took pictures because they wanted to drive all the way back to verify lock serial number. I gave it to them and gave me a different combination code. I asked if it is now available, wouldn’t it be clean? They responded they had no idea. I drove back and the unit was EMPTIED! If a lock was changed after the photos they shared of the unit for the auction, someone with access had to have taken the stuff, not the delinquent tenant. Be cautious if this company. I got my money back but luckily I took photos and videos to back myself. I was not reimbursed for fuel. They didn’t care.

I originally gave this facility a five star rating but now I have to give them a one star rating. I am very disappointed in the customer service that I have not received. As I am writing this review I’m still on hold to speak to someone about my units that I am still unable to access. I am paying over a 1000 dollars for five units and I only have access to one. So with that being said I will be moving out of that unit today and I guess before the world ends I will gain access to my other four units and I will be moving out of those. So if you want good customer service don’t come here because you will be on hold forever. I have also sent emails no response. I have requested several call backs during their normal business hours no response. Then they have the nerve to raise their prices. What a joke

Started with a 75 dollar storage fee. They raised my rates to 208 within 12 months. HORRIBLE COMPANY. Don't move in you will have to move out. Just for reference I am a great customer. I had no issues, no problems, no claims, no nothing. Just kept getting my rate raised and when I called to ask why, they responded, market availability. HORRIBLE COMPANYS!!!!!!

Omg don’t get me started first month was okay. The second month I was locked out of my unit because the lock was rusted on. I called and called the company no answer. But yes they still wanted me to pay for that month. So when I move all my stuff out I find mold all over my mattress and some other items. So I make a claim they declined my claim to today. Talking it’s no water leak in the unit to have caused my property to mold. When I stored my property in the unit it was just fine. Now I am don’t have a mattress and my other items are messed up. I will never refer nobody to rent a storage unit from this company. Bad business

There are lots of thefts that are in my opinion orchestrated by property management. I say this because he uses homeless people living illegally in their units to clear out unpaid units before auctions. Also the keypad has been broken for over a full week. They have banned people from the property who have paid their units without giving them the opportunity to move their stuff out of the units (at least 3 paying customers were banned for manipulating the broken gate) they don't cover your belongings even though you're required to pay a mandatory insurance fee. I've never seen a business that calls their self reputable run the business in such a trashy way. Basically everything you read on the website is a boldfaced lie. If you cherish your belongings stay far away from 10 federal storage. You might as well just leave your personal items on the curb if you're considering a contract with these crooks. the property manager decided to open my unit this morning as i was inside rearranging. So if it's cold outside I guess you're supposed let the wind trash your unit because apparently your not supposed to close the door or the manager will open it up to see why it's shut. So he now knows what all is in my unit and I'm pretty sure he's the mastermind behind all the burglaries. Smh,!
