There needs to be someone available overnight if your going to offer 24hr availability for rentals. We rented a storage unit but weren't emailed the lock combination to gain access. The phone just goes to an recorded line with no help available?

Hi Fredrick, We are sorry that you didn't receive your code. We do see that you now have it. Please keep in mind that our access hours are 24 hours, and although you can move in online or via a kiosk 24 hours a day, our website shows that our customer support hours are Monday-Friday: 8AM - 9PM and Saturday-Sunday: 9AM - 5PM. I thought the indemnity insurance requirement was for renting storage units. I rent a parking spot to store my 30' travel trailer and was suddenly charged after having rented without that for several months. When I called about it, I was told to submit insurance verification and once it was received, I could call back and get the insurance charge refunded. After a long time on the phone with USAA to get all the ridiculous requirements met for the proof of insurance, I called in only to be told it was submitted too late and I wouldn't be refunded, even though the insurance I have was in effect the entire time. This is the second time I have been misinformed by this company and it always costs me.

Tom, We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. After looking into your account we do see that you did not initially provide us with proof of your personal insurance, we do periodic audits of the facilities to make sure that everyone is covered by either their own personal insurance or our Indemnity Waiver Program. It is also stated in your lease agreement that you agree to be enrolled in the Indemnity Waiver Program unless you provide proof of personal insurance. The website is hard to navigate. We struggled to get in the gate and sat for over 10 minutes trying to get out. You have to call customer service to do anything and that’s not easy. I called a total of 8 times, either got a voicemail, or a hang up. Seriously considered driving through the gate. While they are (barely) cheaper then the others around them, they are super hard to get a hold of. Just pay $5 extra and save yourself the hassle.

Jessica, Upon looking into the history on the unit account it seems as though there was a previous tenant that left their items in the unit when they vacated. Normally when someone is vacated from our system the unit would automatically be marked out of service and scheduled for cleaning but in this instance it seems as though there was a glitch in the system that did not allow that to happen. We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused and are working to sort out what allowed this to happen. -10 Federal Management

My experience with this company was absolutely horrendous. Customer service is poor, executives have no regard for customer care, and they fees they add are horrible. I called customer service 5 times to try to resolve my issue and only had 1 representative to hear me, listen, and apologize for the horrible experience. Every issue that could have arisen and gone wrong could have. What should have been a 3-month bill of $280 wound up being $450 with all the added fees. If in Atlanta, don't get reeled in by the 1 month free...I had to call to remind them that I was suppose to get it. Moving would have caused me more in funding than paying the fees. So, I have no choice but to remain right now. However, if customer service and ethical treatment is on you list, keep looking. Metro Self Storage provides real customer service.

Hello Dr. Brenetia Adams-Robinson, We apologize for your experience thus far. We've reviewed your account to gain a better understanding of what occurred. We show that your current rental rate is less than $90 per month. This rate is far below the current market rate for your unit size as we pride ourselves in providing affordable storage for our customers. However, we also show that the only payment you have made on your account was for April 2021 when you moved in. It wasn't until August 2021 that you made another payment which is why the amount was so much greater. Nonetheless, our Customer Care team refunded you late and lien fees out of courtesy because we understand mistakes happen. Please also understand that we are transparent about our "First Full Month Free" promo. Tenants must apply the code "FREE1" to their account during the online move-in process or it won't apply. It also applies only to the first FULL month, so if you moved in April 2021 - it wouldn't apply until May 2021 which I see is on your account. We hope our response provides clarity. Okay I was in an emergency situation being illegally evicted during Rona virus for the third time so it was taking me a moment to get my stuff into the shed because I had no organization and everything was a mess and they're abusing me and threatening me and when I finally got over to the shed it was just a mess so it took awhile to unload that's when they accused me of living in the storage shed this is not true so I get nervous but I'm being kicked out and I have till Sunday to be kicked out but they won't call me back to tell me if they heard my message about what actually happened until Monday I'm going to rock and a hard place but the funny thing is I wasn't actually breaking the rules I was trying to do what I was supposed to and they're just being abusive the way I'm about to lose everything I own because these people won't hear reason and they don't live in this town don't rent here it's a horrible place the last two sheds that I got were full of feces when I open the door that's not very clean anyways I don't like their attitude because they're not grateful to have me as a customer there just type to screw someone over

We've conducted an audit of your account to better understand everything that has occurred from the beginning. Since your move-in June 2021 we found someone with access to your unit is utilizing the space for living. This is a strict lease violation that is grounds for immediate termination upon discovering. We show gate activity and camera footage to prove this statement to be true. As we have discussed all issues and the situation with you through phone and email, we feel it is not necessary to list everything in a review. Nonetheless, please note that we try to work with all customers as best as we can. Upon receiving many threats from you we were left with no choice but to continue with our Non-Renewal notice. With that said - we have also graciously provided an extension until today to assist you with more time to retrieve your items. unprofessional i rent a storage unit than get there and the lock has a key lock in not Combination code so i call to let them no its the wrong lock and i need a new unit or lock changed they told me it would take 3to 5 business days no i need my storage unit now the lady was very rude on the phone so i requested a refund becuz im not waitin 3 to 5 days on a unit i already paid for
