Zip Scanners is fantastic! Super quick shipping of my Whistler TRX-1
Great job by Zip Scanners. My new radio and car cup holder arrived within days of my order in perfect condition. The Whistler TRX-1 is a fantastic radio and exceeds my expectation. With that said, the Whistler software and instruction book are a disappointment. Something as simple as changing the volume isn't in the instruction book. Hint, the up and down arrows does the job. Took me 20 minutes on the Internet to figure it out. The Whistler software is NOT user friendly. Three nights of intense study of said manual and trial and error to set up very specific scan list for the two counties (Hamilton & Butler) I travel in here in Ohio (hence the four star rating). Bottom line though, it's worth it. Yes, I could have called Nixon at Zip and got an answer quicker, but I tend to do my listening late in the evening. If you're not a stubborn old goat like me, I'd suggest you also spring for the programming as part of your purchase.

Hi James I'm glad your enjoying your new TRX-1. A lot of people feel your same frustration with the manual that comes with the Scanner. To try and remedy this we have provided some helpful videos that answer some of those questions you brought up. We also recommend purchasing 'Programming' and 'One Touch Start Up' Which helps alleviate a lot of the stress that new scanner users encounter. Thanks again for choosing Zip Scanners. -Nixon
