I have owned GRE scanners in the past and was looking for a hand held digital trunking scanner and this seemed a logical choice. After unboxing, installing the batteries and programming it was off and running. Good build quality and fairly easy to use. If you listen to 800/900 MHz systems you have to get the Remtronix 800/900 MHz antenna. The stock duck works ok, but the Remtronix is by far and away better! No regrets buying this scanner....it handles all of my needs and more.

When I got my scanner I did not like it to good. They are hard to program, but when you get it programed they are the best. Zip scanners are the best they are so nice and helpful. If you need a scanner get one from Zip scanners, they are a five star company.

I bought a Uniden Bearcat scanner from Zip and everything went well. The scanner works great and I'm very happy I ordered from Zip. These guys really want you to have a good experience from ordering online to packaging to the final scanner performance. They even called me at home to see if I had any questions or concerns! Who at Amazon would do that?? Any future purchases will definitely be with Zip Scanners. Please trust them with your next scanner.

I bought a scanner about a year ago and they were very helpful with helping a total novice pick just the right device to install into a retired Crown Vic.
