Really impressed with this company. I felt I got a fair price, an excellent product, and really great service. I originally ordered a Whistler 1040. Come to find out that model doesn't work in the city I live in, due to some special coding local police departments use. Nixon called me and explained the situation and suggested an alternative for me, so I upgraded to the Uniden BCD436HP with Pro-voice, 2 counties, and One Touch Start-up preprogrammed. I opened the box, turned on the unit, downloaded the databases for my counties and started scanning within 10 minutes of opening the box. This is my first scanner. While some reviews I've read say it's complicated, in the 2 days I've had it I've found a lot to be quite intuitive and easy to do. However, I'm not doing anything too complicated until I read the manual again, but for a newbie I'm already very satisfied. I'm very impressed with the quality of both the products, and service, of this company. Thanks again Nixon.

I purchased a TRX-1 from Zipscanners and had it programmed. All thru the process of getting the scanner to me I was contacted by their staff to make sure of what I wanted programmed. I have had a scanner from 1978 when you first did not have to have crystals to the last of the trunking analogues. Zip scanner is the first retailer that will help you even if you have never had a scanner. I will recommend Zipscanners to anyone as I know there is support to make the scanner work for you.

It took awhile to figure out the scanner cause it is advanced, but wow it got shipped very fast and 3 days later after ordering it arrived, it was packaged very well, zip scanners is hands down the best scanner online store to order from.

So far, no issues, scanner works as advertised. I will need it reprogrammed when my County goes from 500MHz to 700MHz and will have it done by Nixon!
