I think the plastic pitcher of Zero Water system is a poor design. The form for the Zero water pitcher that holds the filter releases the water into plastic. The rubberized liner on the lid is coming off. The top has protrusions that have to be aligned with holes in order to replace the lid. The lower part of the fill compartment is very hard to clean around the lower portions. The black is probably algae buildup that hides in the seam.

Leider bin ich vom Kundenservice von ZeroWater sehr enttäuscht. Auf Antworten wartet man lange und statt einer unkomplizierten Lösung entstehen immer neue Diskussionen. Eine neue Filterkartusche musste ich bereits nach 7 Tagen austauschen, da das Wasser deutlich schlierig und unappetitlich aussah – dies habe ich auch mit Fotos dokumentiert. Da ich so nicht weiterfiltern wollte, verwende ich inzwischen einen Filter eines anderen Herstellers. Besonders befremdlich finde ich, dass ZeroWater den offensichtlich problematischen Filter nur reklamieren bzw. ersetzen möchte, wenn ich zunächst wieder einen neuen Filter bestelle. Diese Vorgehensweise kann ich als langjährige Kundin nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass ich mit den Filtern über Jahre – bis auf wenige Ausnahmen – zufrieden war. Gerade deshalb hätte ich erwartet, dass man bei einem solchen Einzelfall unkompliziert eine Ersatzkartusche zusendet. Stattdessen habe ich inzwischen viel Zeit in Schriftverkehr investiert – für ein Problem, das mit etwas Kundenorientierung sehr schnell hätte gelöst werden können. Schade, denn das Produkt habe ich bisher gerne genutzt.

I stand corrected. After the frustrating experience I described below, I thought "well, she didn't say how long to run warm water over the top of the filter." I did it for a few minutes and it didn't help. So later today I thought I'd try turning the filter upside down and letting it sit in a bowl of water for a few hours. Just tried it and it's not leaking! Yay! Probably doesn't have to be that long. But if they had told me that the first time I called or the second time I called, it would have saved me a lot of time and them some money. Original one-star review: I've had my ZeoWater filter pitcher for years and love it. I recently ordered 2 replacements filters on Amazon. Both leaked (the water drips outside the filter directly into the pitcher). I called ZeroWater to see what I was doing wrong. They sent me two replacements. I should have returned them to Amazon -- would have gotten my money back. Instead, I waited for the two from ZeroWater. Once does the same. The second -- I can't get the stupid glued cheap plastic cover off it. I called Zero Water again. She suggested I run warm water over the top of the first to remove any glue residue. I did. Leaked even more. I asked why they did this -- the response: it's to reduce plastic in the landfill by so many whatever (as she read on and on their rote response). I said I paid $12-$15 to send 3 filters back to them for recycling. I'm not paying any more to recycle these two. So they will end up in the landfill. Sort of defeats the purpose of replacing the old lids with this covering. Now I'm looking for a new water pitcher.

Although the product is good and convenient I am finding the filters are not as good as they used to be. They stop filtering after a week, despite the meter reading being fine. They said to tap the filter to release the air, and tighten the connections, which I’ve done numerous times, but the water is still not filtering through. I’m considering trying a different system as the filters are not cheap.

I have had a zero water dispenser for months. We're happy with the quality of the water, but I have had two significant problems. One, I needed to update the credit card on file and after two frustrating phone conversations with a very tone deaf and unhelpful customer service agent, I was told to create a new account with a different email. Totally unhelpful. Two. I signed up for zero water because I like the idea of sending in the filters to be recycled. No one else offers this service. I was told today that you cannot apply recycled filters to a subscription order. So what is the point of having a subscription. Culligan, you can do better than this. I'm totally fed up.
