The Springlands Hotel was our starting point for Meru, Kili and Safari. We felt very comfortable there. The staff were always very friendly, polite and eager to please us. The rooms were fine (it's just Africa, usually there is only 1-2 nights between tours). All beds are provided with mosquito nets. The food was good and varied. You can safely eat salad. This is washed according to staff with boiled water. The restaurant manager Jacob is always very attentive, always has a good spell in stock. There are a lot of trainees busy, who are well looked after by Jacob and his team. There is a car service if you want to go to the city. The hotel is part of ZARA Tours, which also organized trips to Mount Meru, Kili and Safari. We had a great trip! Thanks again to Zainab Ansell and her team. Specially to our mointain guides Mdeme and Salimu, Mustafa (cook), Rabin (waiter), our Safari guide Gilli, Jacob with his restaurant and bar team (Amina, Benson and all the others) and the reception team (Hans and the others)!!!

Atendimento perfeito do início ao fim, muito atenciosos! Agradeço a Mikondo por toda a sua simpatia e por ter tido a oportunidade de conhece-la pessoalmente! A praticidade para efetuar pagamento por cartão de crédito foi outro ponto super positivo pois facilitou muito e me deu mais confiança. O serviço oferecido foi de boa qualidade, a equipe que nos acompanhou durante a subida foi ótima, super paciente com as limitações de cada um e prontos para nos ajudar a todo o momento. O único fato que não gostei foi sobre as gorjetas, recebemos essas indicações antes e vamos preparados com o valor indicado mas no retorno parece que desconfiam que não vamos pagar, o guia ficou falando sobre isso, quando retornamos todos nos perguntando, uma pessoa vem com envelope, conta o valor e entrega para o guia.. foi desagradável. Sabemos que as gorjetas são muito importantes e que eles merecem com certeza por todo o trabalho que realizam que é impressionante, mas a forma como é feito fica uma cobrança desagradável para o cliente. Fora isso, foi maravilhoso, recomendo com certeza, foi uma das melhores experiências da minha vida! :)

Our overall experience with Zara tours was good. I don’t give the the 5 stars because our tent was not in the best conditions. One rainy night, we had several leaks. Also we had little friction with the guide assistant after we refused to go down the mountain on an unsafe trail. After that incident, he started leaving us behind. The cook was excellent and the waiter very friendly. The food was great. The hike was awesome with beautiful sights, and the guides were very knowledgeable.

A well operated tour company with a real focus on customer service.

We were a group of 12 people! Happy with all the arrangements. Jeeps were good, drivers were good and hotels were very good. The Springlands hotel needs some refurbishment - but the staff were excellent. Overall a very satisfactory tour and the small hitches were adequately adressed. We recommend Zara Tours!

Great communication during planning and in country. We really liked our guide in Kenya, John. All of the guides were good. We enjoyed the varied accommodations, especially the Sopa Lodge (they had the best food of all of the hotels), the tented camp in the Serengeti, Zawadi Beach, and the Dhow Palace in Stone Town. The only hotel we didn't love was the Highview. The rooms really need updating and the cleaning staff makes way too much noise in the morning- moving furniture, talking loudly. I am glad we were there only one night. The other thing that I wish I had known was that we would be in bush planes for the trip from Tanzania to Zanzibar. I've never been in a plane that small and would have liked a little mental preparation.It was part of the adventure.

We enjoyed travel with Zara Tours Tanzania. The whole trip was well handled with professionalism , skill and attention to detail . Our tour guide and driver - Issa was friendly, caring, knowledgeable and very polite. Zara Safari Lodges are beautiful and well appointed and managed. Congratulations! The safari was awesome!! We enjoyed it very much. Our driver (Mohammad) was very friendly and answered all our question. And even the walking tour on day 3 was absolutly amazing. We would definitly recommend Zara Tours to our friends.
