This was a trip of a lifetime and I am so thankful I used ZARA Tours to make it happen. I had wanted to hike Mount Kilimanjaro for my 30th birthday (December 22) and somehow convinced three hiking friends to join me in my endeavor. Having heard nothing but good things about ZARA Tours from other friends who have used them in the past, I booked an 8-day trek to Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route, a 5-day safari, and 3-days on Zanzibar. I honestly cannot tell you which part of the trip I liked the best because each part was 1,000,000% worth it and AWESOME! There are so many reasons why I loved ZARA Tours that I could not possibly write them all here because I've since run out of room. From the very start, they were so attentive and responsive to each and every one of my e-mails. We landed in Kilimanjaro (Moshi) on my 30th birthday and were greeted in the wee hours of the morning by the incredible ZARA staff who transported us to the Springlands Hotel. We got some rest, had breakfast, took a tour of Moshi with a ZARA tour guide, and met with our Kilimanjaro guides in the afternoon. The following day we set off for our 8-day trek. I cannot speak highly enough of ZARA Tours throughout our travels everyone we interacted with were fantastic. Our guides on Kilimanjaro Mndeme and Salim were better than I have the words to describe. Patient, funny, knowledgeable, just absolutely incredible people. Our porters were out of this world and the next person who asks me what superhero I would want to be, I'm going to say the porters on Kilimanjaro. Amazing people. The trek was something I will never forget, traveling through various climates, circumnavigating the mountain over the 8-days, and finally (FINALLY) reaching the summit and seeing thee sign amidst all of the snow. Such a magical moment I really felt like I could cry. My only "critique" of the trek was the food... it was quite tasty to begin with but became quite repetitive by day four or five. I would check myself at every meal and ask myself what do you expect, you're on the side of a mountain! Moving on to the 5-day safari: we departed Springlands Hotel with our Guide Mahmood and saw so many animals I literally don't even remember them all! Highlights for me here was staying at the Serengeti Wild Camp located within Serengeti National Park. Just incredible to have an elephant walking through camp at sunset. Celebrating New Year's Eve at the Highview Hotel was magical as well. Lastly, GO TO ZANZIBAR!!!

Okay, I am sorry in advance because we have so much to say about this trip, BUT I will try to be short :)) Briefly - We did a group 6 days Lemosho tour and it was just perfect from A to Z. Big Thanks to Jane (travel consultant) who was dealing with us all the way and organised our trip so perfectly! We had a few complications from our side which was sorted out in such easy-going manner. Moving to airport pick up, transportation and our stay at the hotel. As soon as we stepped out of immigration our driver was waiting for us, with the open hands to take care of our bags. Zubaida (hotel receptionist) made us feel like home with her super friendly and fun approach and attention to details. Furthermore, all the hotel and restaurant staff didn’t remove the smile from our faces. And now THE MAIN PART about our trip to Kilimajiaro itself! Talking to other people at the camp, we can surely say that we had the best guide Yesse and his team to lead us! Our chef Julias made our “3 times a day” so tasty, perfectly adjusted to our dietary preference with such variety every day. Our waiter Albert went out of his way to make us as comfortable and happy as possible. Our porters Izidor, Aimidiwe, Jonatha, Jackson, Frank and Julias delivered our bags with such care, and we had a few fragile things inside. Saving the best for last, to highlight THE IRREPLACABLE PART of our experience - Yesse with assistance of God Living who were not only our best guides but also leaders, mentors, motivators and life coaches at the same time. I know it might sound as an exaggeration but it is true. They not only did their job in perfection, which is to lead and assist with any problems that might occur on the way, BUT they found that individual approach to keep our mind and heart strong, not neglecting a pure enjoyment through this physically and mentally tough climb up. Thank to Yesse and Godliving we found out so many interesting facts and stories about the surroundings. Getting to know our love for music, Yesse even managed to get a mini speaker to turn our challenging days into fun. Whatever concerns and challenges we had, they were the first ones to assist us without us even asking - starting from equipment shortage to mental support and encouragement. Thanks to Zara, this trip has been as enjoyable and pleasant as it could possibly be!

I highly recommend Zara Tours for either a Kilimanjaro trek or a safari. We did the 8 day Lemosho route on Kili and all 4 of us summited. Our guides were excellent- very knowledgeable, caring, and a lot of fun. The equipment was excellent and our personal gear was well-cared for. Our safari experience was wonderful and the accommodations were awesome.

Good experience with best service

Dear Mama Zainab at Zara, I, my sister and brother in law, have just returned from a 15 day trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar with the first week on safari staying at High View Lodge at Karatu and Ikoma Wild Camp in the Serengeti National Park and then at the Sultan Sands Hotel on Zanzibar. The whole holiday was a wonderful experience from start to finish and we were very impressed with the standard of service from Africa Safari, Zara Tours and Zenith Tours. We found all the staff we came into contact with extremely friendly and helpful, while one or two people really stood out for us. The first was Peter Damasi Winja who was our guide for the safari in the first week. Our party was teamed up with two Swedish women and Peter was both an excellent guide and driver. He went out of his way to enable us to see the maximum possible number of animals and his knowledge and experience was greatly appreciated. He didn’t put any pressure on us in terms of timekeeping and in fact, we seemed to be the last truck to arrive back to base each day. In addition, he helped the whole group with the taking of the most fabulous photographs. He worked incredibly hard throughout the week for which he deserves special recognition. The second person was Good Luck Isaac Meoli who was not our guide but he transported us from Kilimanjaro Airport to High View on the first day and we met up with him several times throughout the week. Very good organized event managing company. The employees are very friendly and do a good Job. I would take zaratours again at net occasion.

This was the second time did a trip with Zara Tours in Tanzania. The service by the team is superb on all aspects from booking, payment, transfers, vehicles, accommodations, professional guides and pretty much everything else is second to none. Our safari guide Tarimo was awesome, led us to variety of wild animals and beautiful landscapes in Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We saw all the big 5, large cats and the rare wild dogs. Overall amazing!
