Zara Tanzania AdventuresReviews of zaratours.com

We are very happy with the Kilimanjaro trekking guides and porters. They have supported us all the way to the top. Definitely would not be able to do it without their support. Special mention to Felix, Richard, Hopson, Bobo and Isa. Asante sana!🥰 Our Safari trip was quite fun too! Joseph was very hospitable and accommodating on all our needs. There was last minute changes on our plan but despite of that, he was able to pull it off with a smile.☺️ If there are any improvement that I can suggest, it will be adding AC on the land cruiser and also providing choices on lunch boxes. We got tired of the lunch box food in just 4 days!😅 Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Zara Tours. I would have given 4.5 rating but it wasn't an option.

Prompt response and proper information about the package. Easy payment facility

Very accommodative and helpful in planning safari. Safari still to be experienced. A bit slow in responses.

We had a fantastic trip with Zara Tours. The Kilimanjaro Crew was Excellent but at the following 4 day Safari, we had the best guide ever. Thank you Reggie 🤗 for great service, incredible knowledge about the animals and Tanzania in generel and always happy and Nice to be around. “The chief” Egon & Camilla

This was our second safari and beach holiday with Zara Tours. Everything was well organized which made our trip very enjoyable. If we come again it will definitely be with Zara. Thanks to all the staff who were always friendly and professional, particularly to Miriam and the chef at High View Hotel.

This was a once in lifetime trip. Most everything went as it should. The Guide Willie Willie was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure our trip was all we wanted it to be. We opted for the mid level accommodations which was quite good. However, we were suppose to stay 4 nights in one camp. But after second night for some reason we are told we had to move to another equal camp, which was a little inconvenient but we did. That camp was not at all equal in any way. It was really a down grade so the next night we were moved to a better camp. Also we contracted with Zara to do a 5 day tour in Uganda. They subcontracted it out. We highly suggest if you do this to contract directly with a company in Uganda. It was very confusing when things did go quit right as to whom you were to contact. Same thing they booked us into a camp that was not even open and ready for guests. No electric, only cold water, and barely food. They seemed to have no idea we were even coming. My husband sleeps with a C-pap machine and really needs it. Again, overall Zara was quite good. The trip was amazing. We also opted for the very expensive balloon trip which was nice but not quite a good bang for the buck. We took two very large suitcases full of cloths, school supplies, etc. to donate to the orphanages there. Please do so if you can. The children really need anything you can offer.

In Moshi: Enthousiastic and helpfull personeel. Rooms clean and ok. Very Nice garden. Tips: better coverage WiFi. Better hours Swimmingpool. Safari: very good and friendley driver. Lodges fantastic. Zanzibar: fine but slightly aged hotel. Beach to crowdy. The Swimmingpool had no shade or sunprotection. We chose a trip with a Dow but had tot remember the Guide tot get it.

We have enjoyed the trip overall. Everybody was very friendly and accommodations were decent. What we did not like (which I consider minor and still give 4 stars overall): 1. On Kilimanjaro: our tent for 3 had broken zippers and inside part was not closing. The guides had to give us two of their own small tents and our group was separated. The tents were also hard to get in and out. And zippers were also partially broken but at least we were able to close. 2. The food on Kili tasted good but there was very little protein (90% of carbs) and the little beef we got in stews was mostly unchewable or the tiny chicken drumstick you get for dinner and one fried egg in the morning was all the protein we got per day. And what's with a bucket of popcorn every afternoon for a snack? But that was as I said minor problems comparing to the big picture. The guide Chombo and the assistant guide Luka were outstanding! They made our successful summit possible. The driver on Safari, gets 3 stars because of bad English and strong accent. But he was very nice otherwise. We enjoyed the trip and saw a lot of animals.
