They won't respond to 4-5 open support tickets from weeks ago. They owe us a refund of about $1,400 for canceling some subscriptions but we never got any refund. They are still charging us and keeping us hostage. We need them to unlock/release these profiles/listings so we can move over to another company. Their support is nonexistent and I see so many other complaints about this same issue. This is probably illegal and a class action should be brought on Yext.

Absolutely terrible. I've asked to cancel my yext partnership 3 weeks ago and still haven't received a reply. I've also contacted their legal department and not gotten a reply. They continue to charge my credit card so my only solution will be to get a new credit card #. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!

I signed with Yext several years ago and still feel the negative effects on my small business. It seemed like a great deal at the time. Yext will list your business profile on as many as 40 different directories that you can manage them all through your Yext account. Change any elements of your profile on Yext and all your directory profiles are automatically updated. What happens when you cancel you subscription with Yext? I will tell you. You are locked out of your these accounts because Yext claims them as theirs. That's right. ! It's your website and it's your business but you are locked out from making any changes without renewing your subscription with Yext. You can not login, or request to reset your password. You are redirected to Yext and directed to renew your subscription. Nothing short of extortion. Google now looks a the constancy of your website information on search engines, directories, citations and posts. As a direct result, from the business practices of Yext, my information is not consistent. That includes address, phone number, business hours. I can not update these profiles resulting in a loss of Google rankings and lost of revenue. I do not recommend any small business use Yext. BEWARE!!!!!

Hi James, we're sorry to hear to hear about the challenges you're having with your digital presence. However, Yext is not locking you out of any accounts. When a listing is no longer managed by Yext, Yext stops sending data to publishers. When this happens, publishers will: - Stop sending Yext analytics for these listings - Remove the “Owner Verified” attribution logo - Allow a service other than Yext to manage the listings Publishers can continue to use all data that has already been received from Yext, even after cancellation. However, this does not guarantee that publishers will continue using that content. The decision about what data or content to display after Yext is removed from the equation will always remain up to the publisher itself. In the absence of Yext or another provider with API integrations actively managing a listing, data for each listing may change over time as the publisher relies more heavily on other non-direct sources. These can include data aggregators and crowdsourced or user-generated content. We recommend submitting your business information to data aggregators including Data Axle, Acxiom, and Neustar.

I've always been impressed with Yext, but I've not heard from my account manager for the last few weeks, despite many emails, some being urgent. So urgent in fact that I raised a support ticket to enquire as to why I'm not getting a response and to ask if there is someone else I can talk to. This again has had no response. I then reached out to my account manager on LinkedIn, as it was very unlike them to not reply to my emails - they've always been super on-it and supported my account as much as they can. They responded saying they've been made redundant. Whilst I completely understand that redundancies are a difficult situation for both the team member and the business to navigate, I'm incredibly disappointed that Yext have: a) not added an out of office to their email account, b) not contacted me to let me know that our account manager is no longer with the business, c) not provided any details of another contact d) not responded to a support ticket that was a cry for help I'm looking to get some additional licences but no one seems to want to a speak to me, and I can't find another contact anywhere - I'm not one for leaving reviews but I'm not sure how else to get a response! Happy to update my review if someone can put me in contact with someone that can help me.

Hi Emily, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. Client success and satisfaction are a cornerstone of Yext and we understand why you've been frustrated. Your review was escalated and we're glad that you've since connected with your new account representative as well as our support team. We appreciate the opportunity to re-establish lines of communication to prevent any gaps like this in the future. While they are actively working on your most recent request, please continue to reach out if you have any questions.

As a small business owner with one location, I would like the ability to manage my own business listings. However, Yext has a monopoly on several important directories such that the only way to get your business listed or updated is to pay into their yearly service. This should be outlawed. I am all about them offering a service to make it easier to manage listings but they should not PREVENT owners from managing and listing their own business on said directories but putting up a pricey paywall. Especially when many of these important directories used to be free before Yext got their greedy paws on them.

Hi Craig, Thanks for contacting Yext. I'd like to clear up any misunderstanding. Any listings that aren't powered through our service have not been edited or created by Yext. We can only update the listings of businesses that have a subscription with us. If you do not have an account with Yext, we haven't provided any information about your business to any search directories. Without a Yext subscription, Yext is not locking any of your business data on any publisher within our Knowledge Network. Some may not have a free claim option, which is not a function of Yext. Yext is not the only way to update your business information online. I have seen the two-pronged approach of 1) reaching out to the sites directly and 2) submitting updated information to data aggregators work for business owners. Admittedly, this approach requires a bit more elbow grease than the Yext platform but is still a viable and free/less costly option. Many search engines compile data from a number of different sources. One of those sources is data aggregators, which are sites that crawl the internet for public records, utility bills, free government feeds, etc. Search engines like Google then pay those data aggregators to use the information they gathered to make updates to the business listings on their sites. Sending your updated business address to them is a good place to start. Here is a comprehensive list of aggregators and their contacts to submit your business data: Data Axle (formerly Infogroup) Customer Support: Phone: 1-866-DATA-AXLE (1-866-328-2295) Email: [email protected] Factual Customer Support: Email: [email protected] Acxiom Customer Support: Phone: 1-888-3ACXIOM (1-888-322-9466) Email: [email protected] Neustar Localeze Customer Support: Phone: 1-800-336-4594 Email: [email protected] DataTree by First American Customer Support: Phone: 1-800-708-8463 Email: [email protected] Experian Customer Support: Phone: 1-888-397-3742 Localeze (Neustar) Customer Support: Phone: 1-800-336-4594 Email: [email protected] Kind regards.

BAD (NO) CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not yet a customer of Yext, I have been trying for two weeks to speak to someone to sign me up to the service. When I enquired, I explained I was moving over from SEMRUSH and was happy to sign up ASAP to avoid my contract rolling over again. Filled out the form online, no response. Sent an email in, finally had a call with someone who told me he was unsure of what department to place my business in. A week later, still no response. I have followed up twice since, as a prospective customer it's not very reassuring that even with promise of having the business no one can be bothered to get back to you. Personally would avoid.
