I tried using there chat...its automated...they asked for my email but I said no so and never did get anyone to chat with so obviously the are capturing emails and lying to us...no way to start off...definitely avoiding this company after seeing 50% of the reviews were not good

One star is not enough to say about yext and their partners. Its absolutely a scam. A low budget scheme. Sell you on a dream and their 68 listings to find out your business listing are not accurately cited correctly. Therefore Google then actually penalizes you where you start to lose ranking. Their power listing is a lie. Claims all the info is correct but does not delete duplicate listing. This is why Google will penalize you. When is time to cancel they will give you the run around. I've been looking to cancel for over a month. No luck so far

These clowns will not let you opt out of auto renew or cancel your subscription---they give you instructions but of course the way out does not exist and it does not exist to get out of paying for a service I no longer need---and of course you can't get through to anyone---what a pathetic scam. Do not use this company! I'm sick of having to call my credit card company to canel the payments.

Buyer beware! It's a service most small business probably don't consistently need, but their annual subscription auto renews with no notice before it does so. So for our small business with two locations, they charged us over $1000 for a service we didn't need, didn't want, and aren't going to us. I contacted customer service to ask for a courtesy, pro-rated refund (after I saw the charge on our credit card statement), and received no response whatsoever. It's not worth it, and it appears there are more affordable, and almost certainly more ethical, competitors to invest in.

Poor support. They "offer" an online chat session but there is no one monitoring. Strange website that looks like it was pieced together with various people. No direction, no flow, no understanding of what they even do overalls. Totally messy. Would rather work with crisp concise supportive companies that have a better focus and know how to market what they are actually doing.

I am in the process of updating my clients address on all business directories. Been doing this for years and have had first hand experience throughout the years that Yext hamstrings all businesses. I can no longer edit my client's business listings if the directory "partners with Yext" Yext wants you to buy their plan which is completely overpriced and if you quit, they take complete control of your accounts even if you had previously claimed them. I've also read the listings revert back to their original information so if you have moved, your screwed. If you think I am exaggerating, check out this article. We wanted to know exactly what happens when you cancel a Yext subscription, so we worked with a client of ours who had an active Yext subscription, but no longer wanted to keep paying for it. The results were pretty interesting! Here's the summary of our findings: 60% of the listings disappeared or started featuring incorrect information after the subscription was canceled. Of the other 40% that remained accurate: 35% were stripped partially or fully of any enhanced details (and they might have already been accurate before signing up for Yext). Only 3 listings (5%) remained accurate and featured enhanced details, but of them 2 listings had been manually claimed before the Yext subscription had been started. There was incorrect and incomplete reporting of the listings synced with Yext PowerListings while the subscription was live; No effect (positive or negative) on practitioner listings while the subscription was live; You can read the full details of this case here.

This company is terrible and the customer service I had id appalling, charged another like $1000 when they made no reminder of when the next annual round of payment was due and didn’t even authorise any refund. Total fraud and scam I feel like they never seem to try and listen out just want every buck of my money!!

What a scam..If yahoo, bing and companies like mapquest think forcing yext onto potential companies will increase market share they are wrong wrong wrong. Its very easy to change your business info at yelp, trip advisor, facebook and google. What a absolute pain in the @ss doing the same at yahoo. I found the microscopic link to do it for free for yahoo but cant find the same for mapquest. Have wasted 2 days trying to get this done..Im sure at some point google will snuff out players like this. I like competition but Wow, this is not the way to do it. All i wanted was a way to setup my business accounts on the alt search and map engines so i could pay for ads like I do with google. Thanks for wasting two days Yext and its partners.. Stop calling or trying to contact me!
