Yampu was professional and thorough from the very first meeting to the successful completion of our trip. Our planner was knowledgeable and responsive to change requests, and the one time during our trip where we hit a snag (not Yampu's fault) they were incredibly helpful in resolving the problem. I would use them again in a minute and recommend them without hesitation.

We used Yampu tours last year in Peru and had nothing but an excellent experience all around, from the reservation process to the delivery of the services. The guides were all very knowledgable, polite, punctual, and very nice. All of the above is the reason for using Yampu again for our trip to Brazil in 2017. We hope and expect to have the same level of service as before, so far the reservation process has been excellent, I feel it's a great start.

We attended the NYTimes Travel show to see what was available and recommended for a trip to Patagonia. After meeting the reps from Yampu and tossing around some ideas, my friends and I scoped out what we thought would make for a perfect trip. We sent our ideas to the reps at Yampu and Stephanie constructed a preliminary plan. The ensuing email conversation between our hopes and the realities of travel in Argentina and Chile with Stephanie and other reps at Yampu led to the construction the sixteen-day itinerary. We covered the falls at Iguazzu, toured Buenos Aires, visited the lake country of Argentina at Bariloche, sailed along the Perito Moreno glacier at El Calafate, stayed in a yurt for hiking the Chilean Andes at Torre del Paine, and experienced the wine country near Santiago. How did we avoid feeling we were on someone else’s schedule? Yampu arranged for excellent tour guides in each location. They spent a few hours introducing us to the locale—Igauzzu, Buenos Aires, Santiago, answered questions, provided great suggestions, and then, we were on our own until the day of departure. As a result, we acclimated quickly, were able to explore on our own, and get lost—travel as if not on a tour. Really credit the knowledge and planning of Stephanie and the other Yampu reps who grasped our interests, helped modify the scope and produced a cost-friendly "package" that met all expectations.

Stephanie from Yampu has planned 2 of our vacations, and we were very happy with both! The first was to Vietnam, Bangkok, and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The hand off at each country was seamless, and all our guides were great, especially the one in Vietnam. The second trip was to The Galapagos and Macchu Pichu. Again, everything was well organized & well planned. Stephanie went above and beyond helping us book airline reservations using our mileage. She is a real sweetie-pie, and we have recommended both her and Yampu to all our friends. Should we travel to one of the countries that they specialize in, we would use them again in a heartbeat.

We have used Yampu for multiple South America and Asia vacations and have a pending Africa vacation. Stephanie has handled at least 6 of these. The trips are fabulously well planned and they take into account all of our specific requests. Even when there are glitches Yampu is always there to the rescue. Indeed, once we missed our flight from the Galapagos to Peru and had to take a flight to Ecuador. Yampu representatives met us at the airport in Quito with new tickets to Lima and reimbursed us for the difference in the airfare. Yampu is our go-to outfitter. J & M Cohen New York

Stephanie of Yampu arranged a custom trip to Brazil in August of 2015. which was carried out flawlessly. We started in Manaus with an Amazon cruise, then to Belo Horizonte for two days in Ouro Preto. This town proved to be a gem like few places in the world, and the guide was one of the best anywhere. We flew to Cuiaba and drove into the Pantanal for two wonderful days, and from Cuiaba to the unique capital city of Brasilia. Next was Salvador with its Afro-Brazilian heritage with a culture found nowhere else. We ended the tour in Recife, with its multifaceted colonial history. This trip did not include Rio, Iguassu Falls, and Sao Paulo, which were on another trip. We have had two previous trips with Yampu/Kontiki and will take our fourth next year to Colombia. Yampu reigns supreme in the ability to put together custom tours of Latin America at reasonable cost We had more plane legs on this tour than we can count, and all worked perfectly, with at least four different airlines.

Spent a month in Southeast Asia this summer. As nearly perfect as a vacation could be. We had not a single glitch. Everyone was where they said they would be when they said they would be there. The guides were knowledgeable and personable. The hotels were over-the-top with incredible service and hospitality. We had so much more than a tour. We got to do things and make things and experience the culture of each country firsthand. I highly recommend Yampu Tours for a perfectly planned and executed vacation, and I am eager to begin my next adventure with them.
