Very Good Trip
We had 2 trips organized by Yampu tours. First Trip in (2014) was to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia (21 day trip).We were 6 of us in the trip and everyone had excellent time with very good guides, drivers, and the van in excellent condition. The hotel locations were in centre of the cities which made it easy to do lot of things on your own. Everyone enjoyed the whole trip. This year in January we traveled to Mayamar just two of us. This trip we had few issues with guides, one part of the trip we had issue with the guide (spoke very poor English. so had difficulty understanding) and there was also issue with another guide she spoke little better english, but she had very little knowledge of History of the country. The important things was they did not include some of most important historically sights near inle lakes. Spent too much time on the water on Inle lake. The hotels could be better as they less 3 stars ( american standard) I had inquired about two other trips one to Uganda in April of this year, where the same trip through another agent was half the price. I think Yampu really needs to look at the pricing, because Uganda trips was customized for two of us. The service, guide, 4 wheel drive van and Hotels in this trip were 5 stars (american standard) We were trying to get a quote for a trip to south America in january 2017, again the price was double for 3 star hotels. we like customize tours, so we could do things on our own, so if Yampu do any better for this Trip with little better hotels, we may consider.
