Moving with this company has been a nightmare. Long story short they will tell you they are not a broker but they are. They will tell you one price then charge you another. In my case just under 7000 to then 11000. They will purposely leave items off your initial move just to charge you for more space. They will tell you a specific date and then call you and tell you it's changed last minute. They will drop your items off to a warehouse in Georgia instead of things going directly to your location. They will claim your items will be on a semi and use scare tactics to muscle more money out of you for shuttle when in all actuality the same 26-28 foot box truck that picked you up also dropped off your items. To summarize bait and switch to hook you, scare tactics to take you for what you got, no communication what so ever unless they are getting more money out of you. I will however give a good review to jva transportation. (The name on the truck that picked up and delivered my items) They were decent in retrieval and returning my items.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are shady. Will give you a low ball quote to get you to sign a contract and then dramatically increase the price right before or at the time of the move. If you refuse and cancel the contract they KEEP your money saying you are outside of the window to cancel. Please review the Better Business Website for this company to see that this happens FREQUENTLY. We were contacted by X Van lines and provided with a moving estimate that was finalized at the agreed upon price of $14,249. We completed a Facetime video call prior to the contract ratification wherein every room of our home was viewed and an inventory provided to ensure we were provided with the most accurate estimate possible. I was assured there would be no surprise costs at the time of our move. One week prior to the move we were contacted by Frederick from the QA department to confirm the information relative to our move. Upon review of the inventory and estimate, he advised we had not accounted to enough space and advised me would be just over $22,000.00 to complete the move. I became extremely frustrated as this was clearly a case of bait and switch in that we were provided with an inaccurate estimate to gain our business and then the price was dramatically increased once we were past the rescission period. I attempted to discuss the issue with Frederick but he was rude, kept cutting me off and refused to listen. I told him I no longer wished to move forward and he became aggressive and ultimately harassed me through text messages. I advised that if he continued to text I would pursue additional action, and yet he persisted in texting. I reached out to the customer service department and explained my frustration. We eventually spoke to Claudia, a manager who confirmed that Frederick's behavior had risen to the level of harassment, but ultimately they refused to allow us to withdraw from the contract. At that point I was not comfortable utilizing this company and requested to cancel the contract with a full refund. They have refused despite no actual services being rendered. The Company did nothing to justify keeping a $3990.00 deposit and I would like the money refunded. I STRONGLY recommend no one use this company as they are shady and employ predatory sales tactics and bait and switch.

Will never be using them again. Was told at the start that they are not a broker and all costs are upfront (aka no hidden fees). When the movers arrived (from a company called Ideal Moving and Storage), I learn that X Van Lines is in fact a broker, but at that point I couldn't do anything as I needed to have my things moved. The movers then asked for further fees (which I fought to have taken off, such as the Premium Package fee since I did all the packing myself). It was difficult to communicate my frustrations with the movers as they spoke limited to no English. When preparing for the movers to arrive, the team at X Van Lines called two days before and was told the movers would be arriving between 8-9 AM. However, the movers reached out the morning of pick-up to inform me that they were arriving between 10-11 AM. They did not arrive until 11:50 AM. Something similar happened for drop-off as well. I was informed by the team at X Van Lines that they would be arriving between 6-7 PM. Instead, the movers (the same ones at pick up) reached out in the afternoon of that day that they would be arriving between 8-9 PM, only to arrive at 10:30 PM. Upon delivery of items and after I've had a chance to go through my things, there were multiple damaged/broken items and pieces missing to putting certain pieces of furniture back together. At one point, I noticed a few items missing and had to remind the movers to double-check the truck. I've filed a claims form for damages and losses (see photos for examples), and am waiting to hear back on next steps. Based on what I have been experiencing and also reading from others' experiences, I expect that process will be difficult. Take note that if the claims do go through, the agreement is that they will only cover 60 CENTS per pound per item. If you want more coverage, it is likely that the original estimate/payments for the move would be higher. *Will edit my review once I go through the process. Multiple instances of empty and/or false promises. Impatient customer service agents. Customer often gets blamed for things and gas lighted a LOT. The one star I am giving this company is purely for Linda at X Van Lines. She was the most helpful agent I've had the pleasure of working with (was very patient and understanding with me and truly helped me as much as possible). Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to work with her only for one day.

DO NOT use this company!!! Beware! A $10k move turned into $22k!!!! We are missing multiple expensive items. Many many broken items. Broken legs on furniture, broken antiques.

The contact people at the initial set up (Camron) and Fredrick) were polite and helpful, and seemingly professional, said I was in luck! They had a truck available the dates I needed! I had a primary day and a back-up day. They got my money. They did not make the first day. Gave a window of 3 - 6 p.m. second day. Driver called numerous times - wouldn't make that window. After multiple calls, said he'd be there at 7 a.m. the next day (NOT a day in the contract). Showed up at 7:48 a.m. Packed everything up, then shoved papers at me to sign. Bill of lading (which I had already signed) and insurance papers "waiving" damages. I started to call my insurance company to see if goods would be covered - driver said he didn't have time for that. They unloaded ALL OF MY GOODS, already wrapped and loaded in their truck, and left them outside in my driveway. Would not bring them an extra 20' to put under cover. Management says this is MY fault, and are refusing to refund.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THEY ARE A BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY AND IN TEXAS ITS A FEDERAL OFFENSE.this company quotes low to get your deposit and they sub out your move they don’t even move you. So I’m going to explain to you exactly how it works. This is from the mouth of the company that actually moved us. This company gets your deposit that is there profit once that happens they tell the other company to come pick up your stuff so that company is only going to get half of what you are quoted. So these people knew company comes and says this is to much stuff for your quoted price it’s going to be 2 times that so if your quoted 3000 to move it’s actually going to cost you close to 6500 because X van lines doesn’t pay the actual moving company anything so it’s a bait and switch tactic they con you into believing they are the moving company and then you have no choice but to use them because they have your deposit. On top of that your delivery date means absolutely nothing it’s been 10 days since my delivery date and I’m still waiting on my stuff and I call all the time and they say don’t shoot the messenger we are not sure when you will get your stuff so I’m going to my district attorney today to see what I can do it’s April 10th 2025 and I’m still without my stuff

The sales office e is great at promises that are not kept. We had to pay extra when they came to pick up and then the 3-4 days from then delivery turned into a week with no one being able to tell us anything or even where our belongings were until the day before drop off. We had a lot of damaged and missing items and they delivered stuff that wasn’t ours! When we told the driver it wasn’t ours he just said he want taking it! The most horrible and stressful situation ever. Save yourself and do not use X Van Lines! Horrible and unprofessional

This company stole my money and refused to refund me for a SERVICE I NEVER HAD. They were telling me different things like they won't charge you for being on stairs when every 7 steps it costs you $65. Every 50 ft for them carrying costs $75. They cuss you out their customer service is poor as they will give you attitudes they change their information and change their prices on you. They said I can get a refund anytime but now they won't honor it and pretend they never got that information to begin with. This company is unethical and not honest. Make sure you record them as they will be telling you different things from what you signed. They took advantage of a disabled person who just needed their stuff to be moved. They lie about everything and will not take ownership of what they state. Don't believe this company your better off hiring another company than these people. Had they not been like this I mightve given them another chance later but from this experience I will not got back to them.
