Quote Doubled When Ready to Ship
An agent sent me an email, stating one price. We communicated via email 27 times over a one week period. The last email he sends me his phone number for us to discuss the logistics before shipping. I call him, and he is going to pick up my car in less than 4 hours. The all inclusive price goes from $550 to $1000. I did think the $550 was a great deal because I've shipped this car each summer for the last 2 years. But I did not appreciate the price change, it almost doubled...leaving me to pivot at the last minute. No matter how many questions I asked about price in the email, no mention of an increase and certainly not a 90% increase. I will pay more than the quoted price, but it will NOT be to this vendor. Just be transparent, the price is the price. If it is in my budget you get the business, but if you try price gouge or up charge me at the last minute. Not only will you not get my money, you will get a bad review. He tried to go down a bit after telling me all these fees not discussed, which really only made it worse because I felt even more taken advantage of.
