When we first visited a Wyndham property, we were offered free tickets to an event in exchange for attending one of their sales presentations. We were kept in that meeting for more than six hours! We left thinking that what we purchased was a great investment in our future and that we could refinance this to get a better interest rate. This is not an investment! When we attempted to refinance, we were told by the bank that this was untrue as it had no real value. Please be very careful in your dealings with this company! We wish we had been more careful and had insisted on time to review all of the documents that we were rushed into signing.

False Advertising
We originally visited a Wyndham property on a free stay in exchange for attending a presentation. This presentation went on for several hours until we finally said yes to an offer because we felt that this would help us travel more and that it was within our budget. This was nowhere near the truth! Every time we have tried to use this, we have been unsuccessful. We also learned that not only were we paying more per month than we had originally been told, but they also signed us up for a credit card without our knowledge to charge part of the cost. Be very careful about accepting any free vacations from this company!

What a joke!
We were first introduced to Wyndham when we were offered gifts to attend a presentation. Once there, we were in a packed room with no ventilation for over 5 hours. We were not interested in the rep’s talking points about supposedly affordable travel opportunities, but they just kept making different offers. It was then that they tricked us into taking out a loan for the purchase, reassuring us that our bank could refinance it to pay at a lower interest rate. Upon our return home, we found this wasn’t true. Plus, the “rewards program” they signed us up for was actually a credit card. We would never have agreed had we known they’d do that, or that they would constantly harass us by phone to buy more points. Don’t make a purchase with Wyndham that you’ll surely regret!

Worst Hotel Experience of My Life! (Hawthorn Suites North Charleston SC)
I stayed at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham North Charleston (07/10/20-07/11/20) en route to visit family. It was "the worst" hotel experience in my entire life! The floor was filthy, feet blackened walking from bed to bathroom; towels dirty and grey; pillows unwashed & found pubic hairs in the sheets. In sum, it was the worst hotel experience of my life. I will "never" ever recommend a Wyndham hotel to anyone ever again, gross.
I literally slept in my clothes because I was so grossed out about it.

After spending a sleepless night in the hotel room at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in North Charleston, South Carolina, I summarily went to the front desk in the morning and wrote up my complaint. "No Managers" were available at the time!? Why "NOT"? Why were NO managers available???
In my entire, life I have never stayed in a more disgusting hotel room such as this one. It was filthy and gross.
On my trip to visit family, I also stayed at a Radisson and a Best Western and they were wonderful and clean and welcoming. This hotel was the exact opposite.
There were people smoking marijuana in the parking lot. It was more of a poor apartment complex than a hotel.
Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham is "NOT" fit for the public. If Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham was bulldozed, burned down, and rebuilt it may be an improvement--maybe?!?
Furthermore, I should also note, there was no water in the pool and there were frogs living in the pool and croaking happily. Well, at least the frogs were happy?! What hotel has frogs living in their pool?!?
There was no complimentary breakfast whatsoever. (And while I understand, COVID-19 virus is happening, there is no excuse for this. Other hotels I stayed at on my trip, a Best Western and Radisson, had take away breakfast!)
In sum, it was the worst hotel of my life! Really, it was. I have to think hard when it was I stayed in a worse hotel.
I should be given a full refund with explanation in regard to how dirty this hotel, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, truly was and why it allowed guests to stay in a room so dirty?!?
No guest should have the experience I had at this hotel, ever.
Honestly, I stayed at your hotel because of the" name of Wyndham" because" Wyndham Hotels" was supposed to mean something. I had stayed at Wyndham hotels in the past and they were excellent such as the Wyndham Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Now, however, because of my experience with Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, the Wyndham name means "garbage" and "trash" to me.

Shots in parking lot.
LaQuinta Lexingyon Kentucky . Suitcase tampered with. Someone called my room shortly before checkout. I was shot at as I left the entrance of the hotel. Sounded like a rifle. Terrified.

Worse timeshare presentation package…
Worse timeshare presentation package ever, it will be cheaper to book your own trip and not waste time. They scheduled me for a presentation, a $60 roundtrip Uber ride from the hotel, I arrived at the presentation site and told they were not doing "my type of presentation today". Don't be fooled by the $200 gift card, that paid for hotel taxes and fees and transportation to the presentation, they are gifting you nothing.

The New Yorker discriminates and does not care
I am reviewing again as I think the reply I got to my last review gives a positive impression that they would look into this. They have not. It continues to be that I can not use the service I have paid for and am highly unlikely going to get to use It in the timeframe they’re offering a credit.
I have had confirmation that some people in the same situation have had refunds but that has not been extended to us. Replies are stock standard. No compassion or understanding is being shown.
This is New Yorker in New York that I am referring to.
We’re starting charge back with our bank and will be avoiding this chain of hotels In the future.
