1.) I was told I could cancel anytime, so It tried to cancel a week later, but was told I legally only had 5 days to cancel. 2.) When I was asked for my ID and Social Security number, I was never told it was in order to run my credit. They did that without my knowledge or permission. 3.) I was signed up for a $4,000 credit card without my knowledge. 4.) When I wrote to them to cancel my contract, I was ignored. It’s been over a month, and no one has contacted me. 5.) I was told my maintenance fees were to be $84 per month. There was never a mention about an annual increase of 5% or more and would last forever. I have only had my contract since May 2021 and have had nothing but headaches over this. I hope anyone reading this will NEVER consider a purchase with this despicable company.

When we stayed at a Club Wyndham in Orlando, we were offered a free breakfast and $25 gift card if we would attend a one-hour presentation. This presentation began with a video where they showed us how much money we could save on vacationing if we were to be owners. When we met with the sales representatives, they told us that we would be making a real estate investment that would extend to our children, that we were essentially purchasing a vacation home, and that we would be able to book vacations at any time through an “easy-to-use” website. After we finally agreed to the purchase, the sale rep gave us his cell phone number and said that we could call at any time if we needed any assistance. Once we returned home, we went online to book some reservations, but could not understand the website. We had tried to call the representative that gave us their cell number MANY TIMES, but he never bothered to return a single call. When we were finally able to get some assistance through customer service, they booked a trip for us. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and were required to attend ANOTHER sales presentation and told that we had to purchase MORE POINTS because what we owned wasn’t enough! We now have astronomical maintenance fees, continuous, seemingly never-ending mortgage payments, and EVERY TIME we attempt to visit there is continuous pressure to increase our membership. What type of company treats their clients this way? They only care about how much money we spend and view us a DOLLAR SIGNS, not VIP Owners!

I was cold called by a Dominic from Wyndham Group. A slick smooth talking evasive person. Assured me that I had asked to be called. Which I had not. Wouldn’t give his surname or anyone else’s name. Checked with reviews afterwards and did the right thing in hanging up. These people should be put in prison.

We have tried to contact Wyndham by phone and let them know we no longer want our ownership. We have not been able to use it. We were even called to use our points and to give our credit card to hold, but could call back and cancel, and the representative charged us. When we called the number she gave us, she would not answer. We were also called and badgered over the phone to buy more points.When we said no, the person just put another salesman on the phone. So much high pressure sales and they never stop. This is not something we want to be a part and do not recommend to others.

My wife and I have been owners since 2000 and have nothing but bad things to say! We were baited in with high pressure sales and free gifts to sign this contract. We were weary, but caved in after hours of pressure with the promise of being able to stay whenever and wherever we wanted. But we could never go where we wanted when we wanted. We went through periods where we couldn’t even use the timeshare because of the hardship it brings with it. Everything was overbooked or unavailable to book. When we complained about this matter, they did not care nor would assist us with bookings! When we went through a tough death in the family, they would not work with us on trying to refinance, sell it, or trying to get a better rate. We were struggling with funds due to the death and circumstances that we could not control. We are still struggling with finances due to the debt this has caused and the ridiculous maintenance fees that never stop increasing. Anytime we got in contact with the timeshare with our troubles they only wanted more money out of us. STAY AWAY FROM WYNDHAM! Wyndham refuses to assist any of their customers, even ones that have been with them for over 20 years!

I am not sure if anyone else had a similar story to mine, however my experience with this company has not been a good one. I was in Branson, MO when I got suckered into this timeshare. At this point I purchased 3 years ago, I have never taken a vacation, and never been able to book one. They tell you it is a short presentation but they keep you there and break you down until you agree to it. They told me the maintenance fees I was paying were going t the down payment which turned out not to be true. They told me it was going to be such a great investment and I could travel more consistently and not have to pay so much. Well at this point I could have taken 6 vacations not using them and probably spent less money than what I am paying to them. This has NOT been a good investment since I got it. I told them repeatedly I could not afford this. They didn’t care, they kept pressuring me and pressuring me. Offering all sorts of things. They gave me a Kindle Fire for signing up with them. At this point I feel like they took the money and ran. I could have used that for my daughter and her college fund, heck taken her on at least 1 if not more vacations, and been living a much happier life. I would not recommend this to anyone. They have not tried to help me as many times as I have reached out. I have complained I have called and nothing. The best decision someone could make is NOT signing up with a timeshare from Worldmark.

WYNDHAM OPENED A CREDIT CARD IN OUR NAME WITH A 25% INTEREST RATE WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION!! We were lied to from the moment we agreed to this 45 min presentation, that ended up being 4 hours long! We were promised 3 seven-day vacations free of charge, with no expiration date, we tried to use those vacations when time allowed and found out they were EXPIRED! The availability that they boast about is complete fiction, unless you want to go to Phoenix in July when it’s 120 degrees! Maintenance fees are constantly increasing on a yearly basis. They promised us so much and delivered on NOTHING! They have put me and my family in a financial bind, our savings has basically depleted and all thanks to the thieves at Wyndham.
