Wyndham took our dreams of traveling and twisted it to their advantage while selling us their timeshare. Wyndham relies on dishonesty and false advertising to keep the company in business. They had never told us about the maintenance fees and how they would increase every year. They only show you the positive aspects of timeshare, we now know most of this is a lie. It is hard to find availability and even a room big enough to fit our whole family. They told us they have properties that could sleep 20 people comfortably. We can’t even find an available room to sleep 2. Wyndham also told me if we upgraded, we would be able to see more availability, which was a lie. When we upgraded and tried to book a room, it was still just as hard to find something. We are paying all this money for nothing. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars and we have yet to take a vacation with them.

I have had it with Wyndham! My husband and I have owned with WorldMark since the 90’s and never had problems until Wyndham took over. The Club Wyndham sales team talked us into buying again, but it was a HUGE mistake. These people opened credit cards in both our names without permission. Didn’t Wells Fargo get into trouble doing that a few years ago? They told us our high interest contract could be refinanced, but no bank or personal lender would do so. Our points were supposed to buy us airfare and car rentals to complement our WorldMark ownership, but the fact that they would only provide for the equivalent of a single airfare once a year was left out. Another glaring omission was the maintenance fees and the fact that they WILL go up every single year even for our kids should they take over. I don’t understand how these people get away with tricking people like this! It should be… and probably is… illegal, especially the opening of credit card accounts against our stated wishes!

I hope that anyone who reads this is made aware of the questionable business practices WorldMark by Wyndham is engaging in. Unfortunately for me I have been associated as a timeshare owner with WorldMark since 2001 and all I can say is that they are master manipulators, highly skilled in the art of deceiving people. Even as an owner I was constantly hounded to attend “owner meetings” which are just a trap to get you to upgrade. What WorldMark has done to me is they have “upgraded” me to the point where what I’m paying for isn’t worth the return. At one point I was told by a salesman that I never had to upgrade again but it that was a blatant lie! Their salespeople are very unprofessional and rude. There have been instances where I was sexually harassed during sales meetings, and they are aware of it. Reservation availability is horrible and it’s a nightmare trying to book a reservation when you actually want to vacation. All the debt and headaches are not worth it. With the flat out lies, the deceitful sales methods and overall lack of professionalism I have had enough of WorldMark. I called them to inquire about buy back information, but nothing came of it. What they told me in those sales meetings was all smoke and mirrors, they were only trying to get me to commit to giving them more money and they trap me into a contract. They have failed to keep their promise to me for many years! I can’t warn people enough, STAY AWAY FROM WORLDMARK TIMESHARES!!!

Coffee pot in room not working, neither key card has worked properly! Aggravating when your just trying to get into your room but have to go to the desk to get another non working key card or to wait for the ole man to get up off the toilet to let me in! Tried to sit near the pool with a cup of coffee but got kicked out of the pool area like I was a common criminal! Beds were itchy and bathroom not clean. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend.

I wish I had never gotten a timeshare. Wyndham has been the WORST! After my husband and I paid off our timeshare, we were forced to upgrade while they hid the truth of what we were buying. Our salesman, Manny, told us if we upgraded our current timeshare, we’d have a deed, making this an investment. It was supposed to be especially good since the maintenance fees at Bonnet Creek were locked in and would never rise. Of course, they rose. When we went to sign the contract, it was recorded, but they stopped the recording to answer my questions and only gave me half answers, then wouldn’t let me read over the documents we were signing. That should have been my first clue that something was off. I had no idea that we were being charged fees for everything…14.49% interest, fees on a third party credit card, maintenance fees, reservation fees, the list goes on. When we were finally able to get a reservation, we found out that the exclusivity of the resort was grossly exaggerated. Non owners can book rooms with more ease that those of us that pay monthly on a mortgage!

My husband and I have been treated horribly by Wyndham! Wyndham has been a real nightmare for us, and I hope others who read this are made aware of how atrocious Wyndham can be with their timeshares. They violated truth in lending when they sold us a timeshare. The interest rates are unimaginably high, and the maintenance fees increase. Good luck with availability, there’s never anything to book when you actually want to travel. They lie about being able to refinance the timeshare. We were not informed that our Wyndham points, if not used within the year, were then rolled into the RCI system. Once in the RCI system, there are always expensive fees associated with a booking. Once you buy a timeshare with Wyndham, you’re constantly harassed into attending more sales meeting where they forcefully get you to upgrade!!! Don’t believe them when they say they’re connected to Disney, it’s just another one of the many lies they tell you to deceive you into buying. The Wyndham Visa card they tell you to open is another sham! Don’t fall for their crazy sales gimmicks and don’t fall for the high pressure. I have Multiple Sclerosis and my husband suffers from a rare muscle disease. We can’t travel anymore and the debt we’re in with Wyndham has been detrimental to us. They’re heartless and cruel. Don’t let them take advantage of you!

I never thought I would have to post something so negative about a company. Unfortunately, Wyndham has pushed me to do so. I’ve been in a contract with them for almost a year and have not been pleased at all. When I agreed to attend a presentation, I was told there would be no pressure. This was the first of many dishonest things I heard that day. The salespeople were relentless. At one point, I was surrounded by 3 representatives, all bullying me to sign up! All the assurances they made during the presentation were unverifiable. When signing the contract, I was rushed through and not given a copy to review. I signed the contract in July 2021 and did not get a copy of it until I badgered them in March 2022! This is when I got the nice surprise of finding out I owe over $36k instead of the $16k I agreed to, due to their predatory lending! Don’t trust Wyndham or their employees!

Since August 2019, my sister and I have had the unfortunate experience of having a timeshare with Wyndham. Our salesperson, Jeffrey, was a bit overeager to sell us a timeshare. He even used our religion to bond with us and gain our trust when we said we needed to pray over such a huge decision. We were told we could take our dogs with us to any resort we visited, which is what won us over. Any time we tried to make a reservation; we could not find anywhere that would accept dogs. When we are able to book a vacation, we are always forced in to update meetings that are not really updates. All the reps do is try to sell you an upgrade. After listening to lie after lie, especially where we were told that Wyndham was affiliated with Disney, we ended up with an upgrade. Of course, we didn’t find out until much later that we had no access to Disney properties. We also were concerned that our payments would be too high with an upgrade, and we were assured that we wouldn’t pay anything over the $200/month we already paid. ANOTHER lie. Our payments rose by over $500/month!! That doesn’t include the $38,000 credit card bill we have to pay. I wish we had never fallen for their schemes!!
