Wyndham has taken an exorbitant amount of money from me. From the beginning, I have made my lack of interest to purchase a timeshare very clear to them. Instead of accepting it and being understanding that this isn’t for me, they applied an unethical amount of pressure. The pressure was so much, I was basically forced to buy a package to get my driver’s license back to be able to leave. At the beginning, we were bribed to attend this meeting with gift cards. No obligation to purchase! But every time we did try to leave, they would offer another price and pressure us even more. Since we made that purchase, I have had very little luck with availability, when they claimed that would not be an issue. “Take your dream vacation”, they said… “save an enormous amount of money”, they said… “beat inflation”, they said. I am so done with Wyndham and their lies.

Stayed at Wyndham Hotel in Mentor Ohio the end of June 2022. Never again!!! Paid $180/night to get a suite so I could be comfortable bc of Fibromyalgia. They had a leather loveseat that was so sunken down you could not sit on it. The only outlet in the bathroom did not work. The shower made a loud shrill noise the whole time you were in there. The toilet pressure was so LOW you were afraid to flush it! (Lobby toilet was the same) A dirty towel was on the back of the bathroom door. The two tv’s in the room were stuck on the weather channel (we called front desk and NO HELP! The staff were all nasty except for one person (Carmella). I spoke to Shawn Evans about getting back some of our $$$. He said he would speak to corporate and has never gotten back to me! I have emailed twice since with NO REPLY! I guess Wyndham takes care of problems by ignoring them. DONT STAY AT WYNDHAM! Awful 😞

I am only giving this a 1 star review, as I can't post a ZERO star review, or a -10 star review. Since Wyndham won’t respond to my complaint letter, I am forced to post public reviews to hopefully get their attention. Wyndham, stop taking advantage of your customers. It is ridiculous to see the lack of care you have for your customers. Here are some LIES Wyndham told me to get me to sign, followed by the hard truth: • Value always increases = holds no monetary value. • Wyndham Resorts are “members-only” = nonmembers have access to these resorts as well. • Access to transportation while staying on Wyndham property = NOT TRUE. Only had one ride during this whole time of being an owner. • We were told we were purchasing a “Exclusive package” = it’s never exclusive. They always offer this to others. This gave us a false sense of urgency to purchase it in the first place. • Our family would have access to resorts with no additional cost = There are always reservation fees that were NEVER disclosed. And getting a reservation is an absolute nightmare. • Our timeshare would be passed on to our family members to use in the event of our deaths = The future rising costs are passed down as well. These fees will NEVER end. The list goes on and on, but I won’t waste your time like Wyndham has wasted mine.

As of this writing, I am now staying at the LaQuinta Airport in Tampa Florida. After checking in, I signed up for the Wyndham Rewards Program. One of their promotions was "stay two days and get a free night." I stayed 7 nights and asked for a free night and was denied because I did not book directly with LaQuinta. I feel that was a cheap and petty move after spending almost $600 to stay at their 2 star, slightly run-down hotel. Although their terms and conditions state that, to get a free night stay you cannot book via 3rd party, as a customer, I feel that I earned at least one night when their promotion states you only need to stay two nights. I will never stay at a Wyndham property again--not just because of the promotion--but for the rate I paid, I should have gotten a better hotel room. I am canceling my Wyndham Rewards Program membership.

Wyndham Vacations is a grimy company when it comes to their timeshares. They secretly added a ridiculous amount of interest to our payments on top of the 14.49% interest. Our ending interest rate is now 34.73%. They did this without our knowledge. They never disclosed any of the additional fees we have come across. We have spent approximately $15,000 for this trash of a timeshare company. They rely on the average person not being an expert in timeshare so the salespeople can use that against us and confuse us into thinking they are getting a good deal. They WILL lie to you. Wyndham does not care about their clients whatsoever. We had tried reaching out last month and they have still not responded. Great to see where their priorities are at

Wyndham trains their workers to take advantage of people. I was sick with COVID and was delirious. The salesman called me and duped me into an upgrade. It was not an upgrade and was actually a whole new mortgage. The only reason I signed for an UPGRADE was because I was explaining to him, I was not happy with the timeshare I owned, and he convinced me an upgrade would solve my issues. I have sent Wyndham a letter listing the deceptive sales tactics used to get me to upgrade and requested they let us out of our contract, and they have not even bothered to respond. I have contacted the FBI and the Department of Real Estate Timeshare Division, and I will not stop there. Wyndham needs to be held responsible for what they are doing. If anyone out there is reading this, I implore you to file similar complaints. Their fraudulent sales practices need to be investigated.

BUYER BEWARE! Club Wyndham Timeshares deceived us into purchasing a timeshare unit with a battery of false information & pressure. They pitched us these completely confusing and complicated RCI point memberships thru Club Wyndham Plus. What a convoluted joke! We love Hawaii, and simply wanted to consider the idea of pre-paid yearly vacations to the islands, but they exploited our enthusiasm into signing a confusing contract. The sales presentation was designed to impress. They used an elaborate sales scheme to hide the true nature of the TS contract. Nothing but a money pit! Our sales representative at Wyndham manipulated our excitement for annual Hawaii vacations, he printed us a certificate congratulating us on our first Hawaii trip. Soon after we signed up with Wyndham, we had debilitating health issues and could not use the timeshare. Our attempts to cancel the timeshare with Wyndham went NOWHERE. We feel victimized by their smoke-and-mirrors scheme designed to trap you in a contract for a worthless product. They will trap you into an unending financial nightmare.

First hotel we had reservations at was so terrible, we couldn't stay. Called Wyndham back, told them we needed a different hotel and had to have a working pool because we had grandchild. She assured us the hotel had a pool and it was in order.Checked in, go to pool, it's locked! They don't have a permit!!! Will never book with them again.....EVER! $200 to be stuck in room with crying child because she thought she was getting to swim!!
