Wyndham/Club Wyndham/Travel & Leisure Company All names for the same massively fraudulent and predatory organization. These people prey on the elderly, servicemembers, immigrants, and the very young. Worse, the sales representatives will lie shamelessly about every facet of the purchase. They will omit important contractual data. And they will stonewall any attempt to research contractual obligations or any attempt to delay purchase to consult with family. This company has been known to fraudulently open lines of credit AND THEN BILL THEM, to people that attend Wyndham presentations. Additionally, the company has been known to perform "hard" credit checks on people that provide their personal information without their knowledge or consent. Wyndham is currently facing multiple personal and class action lawsuits for their practices. Further, they are under investigation by the US federal government for breaking antitrust laws. AVOID WYNDHAM AT ALL COSTS.

I was purposely misled by Wyndham and their sales representatives to convince me to purchase a worthless timeshare. I believed Wyndham was a trustworthy and good company with good work ethics. My experience so far with them has been the opposite. There is no availability like they said there would be, they find every excuse to charge me and take my money, they signed me up for a credit card I never gave them permission to, etc. I did not realize they signed me up for a credit card until I returned home after a cruise with my daughter to find out I had been mailed the credit card I didn’t sign up for and a bill for $3,524. There has been so much that Wyndham has put me through, and I am so tired of being treated like this. Wyndham won’t answer my letter so maybe they will answer my public review…

I was conned by Wyndham, don’t let it happen to you too! I started doing business with them in 2017 and it’s been a nightmare. My wife booked a cruise and was never told we’d be REQUIRED to go to a presentation. We had no intention of getting a timeshare but were lied to by EVERY representative we came in contact with. We already had a timeshare that we had been unhappy with years ago, but we were told Wyndham does not sell timeshares. We listened to the pitch and then asked to leave but our repeated requests were ignored. Staff continued to pressure us and give information that was false. We were told our points would rollover to the following year if not used, but they do not. There was not supposed to be any out-of-pocket expenses, yet there are fees for booking reservations. It was supposed to be easy to book reservations, but we have had nothing but issues. The process of booking at the “home” resort vs other properties was never explained and made things very difficult. Wyndham has been totally useless!

Club Wyndham is bad news! DECLINE any offers for free vacations to attend any timeshare presentations, or tours. We made the BIG mistake and went to one. We arrived at the Glacier Canyon Lodge and met with a guy who showed us the suites. When we told him we were not interested he began to turn up the high-pressure sales tactics. He noticed my wife was pregnant and told us that if we signed up, we could use our points for resort stays at Disney. We were interested in Disney, so we listened more to his sales presentation. He quoted several prices and point options and we still were not interested in purchasing, so they brought in another guy to pressure us even more. We were so exhausted after spending half a day declining offers. He offered us 174,000 points for a total of $20,274.00, which was $295.00 per month. We thought about the future, plus Disney access, for our family and decided to purchase. They RUSHED us through the paperwork signing and advised us to hold off asking questions. They barley brushed over the recission period and truth in lending disclosure, and when we tried to cancel the contract, we were too late. We soon learned the total contract amount was $35,494.00 which immediately affected our credit. Wyndham lied and deceived us into purchasing this timeshare. If they would have explained everything to us, we would have walked away immediately. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CLUB WYNDHAM.

WorldMark deceived and tricked me in to buying one of their timeshares. I got roped in with free show tickets for 90 minutes of my time. That 90 minutes turned in to hours and hours of dealing with FOUR different salespeople all harassing me to sign a contract. I told them all that I would not be able to afford a timeshare. The price points dropped every time I said no. I was concerned that this wouldn’t be a good option financially since I was already caring for my elderly mother, but I was told that the payments were similar to a small used car. At no point was I told what I was ACTUALLY paying. I was rushed through the contract and did not find out until much later that even though I agreed to $16.5k, I really have to pay them $39.7k!! This is white-collar robbery at its worst!

Our experience with WorldMark has been a nightmare. I was told that I could have an additional source of income by renting out the timeshare that I purchased. I was told a lot of things, but it turns out that these were all lies. The whole timeshare thing with WorldMark Resorts is a swindle. They tell you one thing during the sales pitch and after you read the fine print you realize they lied to get you to buy the timeshare. I wasn’t told about the enormous maintenance fees, the absurd points I needed, or the debt that could be passed on to my children; something that would have stopped me from even thinking about buying a timeshare. They failed to be ethical and didn’t explain how long I had to cancel the contact. The actual price of what they told us has doubled considering the astronomical interest rate. It’s sad to see they are getting away with scamming people, telling people they could generate a profit from buying a timeshare. It’s no wonder they were so aggressive with their sales tactics, it’s all a bunch of smoke and mirrors! Don’t let the smooth talk fool you, WorldMark will leave you with nothing but debt!

Do not attend the Wyndham sales presentations. They are misrepresentations and untrue. They bugged me to go on the presentation at Worldmark Kingston Reef in Orlando. I went on the promise of either 30K points, $125 Amex gift card, or 7 free nights at any Wyndham or RCI resort in the world. I asked if there would be resort or parking fees, they said no, none. This was not true as most of the resorts charge these fees on the voucher. When I arrived at the gifting part of the presentation they wanted to offer me a $25 Amex gift card instead of the promised $125. I accepted the 7 free night voucher but it said it excludes Bonnet Creek and Clearwater. The clerk said it included these specifically. They also said I could book as far out as I wanted but the voucher allows only 90 days out. On top of all this they did a hard pull on my credit when they said it was not a hard pull. Then they applied for a credit card for me without my authorization. Do not go to the presentations, they are a ripoff.

My wife and I have written to Wyndham regarding our contract and hopefully get some help with getting out of it, but we have yet to hear a response from them. My wife and I are both senior citizens and the salespeople saw us as a target because of that. They used their lies to get in our head and trick us into thinking we were getting some kind of amazing deal. Lying to their customers is something they seem to be very good at. If these people were honest about their product and how it can heavily affect our lives, we would have never signed and we would not be here writing this review now. These presentations they hold, made us feel like we had undergone torture techniques at a black site run by an adversarial government. They continued to lie, take our money, and made it blatantly obvious that they put profits over people. They are guilty of unethical behavior at best and criminal racketeering at worse.
